I'd just got back to my apartment in time for the start of the second half. I'd been teaching an evening class in a nearby town and followed the first half on the train back home.

The ten minutes or so after Hazard scored were surreal. I can't really remember much about it other than I was in some kind of transcendental haze like the tunnel of light at the end of 2001 Space Odyssey.

I called my Mum, who'd watched them lose 3 FA Cup finals. Thought about my grandad, who saw six swans flying over Filbert Street. Then my flatmate - probably the only Neapolitan I've met who didn't like football - knocked on my door brandishing a bottle of wine his father had called him up to tell him to buy for his Leicester supporting housemate. We got through it, then went down and bought more, and finally got to bed about 3am.

The next day, severely hungover, I rolled out of bed near midday and wandered to the newsagents to buy the last Gazzeta left - with Storico Titolo per il Leicester written on the front. I sat and read it in the square with a coffee and cake, another surreal moment for someone who grew up with Football Italia on Saturday mornings.

I thought that was as weird as life could possibly get. Over the next decade, life got a lot weirder. But it never got any better.

Been United away the day before

Persuaded the lads to venture in to Leicester the next day- absolutely hanging to a man

Was in the Market Tavern for it all

Ordered a couple of bags at HT. My mates were laughing. They weren’t laughing at Full Time 👀

Ended up outside the ground with the rest of the fans. Walking down Welford Rd it was bumper to bumper traffic, horns going, folk who you’d definitely never seen at Barnsley away hanging out of sunroofs with LCFC scarves

Great day

Knew it was going to be big when Danish and Jap TV crew were filming from the Tav, 7 hours before KO

Was in a boozer in Harborough. Took a bottle of decent champagne with me.

Opened it at the final whistle, some overflowed, l then knocked the bottle over, don't think l drank much of it !

In hindsight, we should've got a taxi into Leicester. I guess most people didn't have a plan as we they were so focused & nervous of what we were could achieve or throw away. I know l was.

Went to the pub for the United game the day before so decided to watch it at home with the now ex-wife.

Had a meal on the sofa and a couple of beers. I  screamed so loud when Hazard scored that both of our cats bolted for the cat flap. I kind of regret not going down to the ground but I spent the next few hours all over the internet looking at the reaction to what we had done.

I actually cried with relief it was over,  I used to wake in the middle of the night wondering how I would cope if we had got so close only for Spurs to beat us to it on Goal Difference.

I would have liked to have been at home or at the pub watching it, but sadly it was the night my friend was available to let me use his washing machine lol (I lived in a small flat in Southend with nowhere to hook up my own)

So I was just following it online, and then after I was done, I went to take a selfie outside the short-lived Spurs shop on Southend High Street. I would have stickered it, but the CCTV pointed right at the doors.

I had the shits from the day of the Spurs game for the next week which took the edge off the celebrations tbh. This was before Covid so I went to the Everton game without feeling too much guilt.

Was staying at my Dad’s as he’d been having a rough time. Was watching in my old bedroom (depressing) and my dad was downstairs not watching as he found it too anxious to watch. I made a really weird noise when Hazard scored that he thought was Spurs winning. Legged it downstairs at FT to embrace him and then went to town and got absolutely wrecked.

Drove down from Glasgow to Leicester to watch watch the Man United game in a pub in Leicester, the day before, in case we won it.

Didn't think Chelsea would do us any favours, shrugged and drove back to Glasgow.

Watched the Chelsea Spurs game on my sofa in Glasgow in disbelief.

Walked round and round my lounge for ages afterwards, repeatedly blurting "Ah doont believe it".

lol

Was actually playing cricket at the time 6:30 start..

The Captain said before the game ‘ Right lads, first things first we don’t care about the chance of Leicester winning the league tonight, we’re here to play cricket’

They batted first and got 121 in 20 overs

I went into bat at number 9-

Oppo wicketkeeper sledging me ‘he won’t be here long lads’

They were absolutely right, first ball, straight and full into my middle stump as I stood there and left it - walked off smiling and got out of there quick enough at full time to make it home for the last 30 minutes!

An hour later we’re down Raw Dykes road leaning out of my mates car hugging and cheers’ing random people!

What a night!

Couldn’t bring myself to seeing the Spurs game so I watched the new game of thrones episode. Although I was keeping an eye on the score.
Obviously I was thrilled we’d done it but mixed emotions for me as my Mum passed away in March 2016 and she’d followed Leicester all her life and I found it tough that she wasn’t here to see what was achieved.

Narborough Arms. I went to United away the day before, bizarrely ended up going out in Liverpool that night and staying in some hotel with no shower lol got home in a right state about 3pm. Remember watching Burnley beat Wigan to secure the Championship. Watched in the Narborough Arms, completely packed. Think I was stood on a seat of some form for the last 10 minutes. Ended up driving into town (specifically hadn't drank!), parking at local hero and going to the ground before onto town. Never got let into republic. Ended up drinking in the casino. Town itself on the night was actually quite crap I thought - hardly anywhere open. The Saturday made up for it though.

I was in Leiden (Netherlands) with family for a few days. I watched the ManU game on the telly at my nephews flat (he lived over there) on Sunday afternoon and then spent Monday evening in the Duke of Oz sports bar watching the game with my Leicester top on chatting with some great Dutch guys. I didn’t have to buy a drink all evening, as the locals were all brilliant …even the ones wearing Spurs tops! It was a fantastic night!!

In Soar Point with the same lads I'd been with eight years before, enjoying awaydays in what we thought would be our only ever season as a lower league club. Glad we hadn't won it the day before - a soulless away end full of hangers-on thanks to our ever-corrupt ticket office.

Had given up watching at points so was just sinking Blue Moons and reminiscing with my mates. When it happened I hugged my brother and said "that's for grandad."

Then chaos, cheap champers and towards the Tav. On to tins by the Clock Tower and letting it all sink in.

I fvcking hate that we can't enjoy these memories the way we deserve today but even writing this has brought a smile to face thinking about our club for the first time in several years. Thanks @bovril

Yep - that and Chelsea were properly rubbish ends.

Genuinely people in there who'd clearly never been to a football match before.

Liam Moore was starting chants in the Old Trafford concourse and most people were looking at the guy like he was an alien ffs.

At home creating this masterpiece from a bean bag and a flag. Had 2 bottles of Cava (oooh luxury), one normal, one girly pink Rose stuff (all I had in) so sweet and acidic I looked like a surprised Esther Rantzen,

Genuinely couldn't watch after the equalusing goal went in. Was informed Chelsea had a free-kick, knew they would go to the corner and that would be it.

In nottingham, walked through the town centre, hands aloft (got sworn at by a forest fan on the way) and got the first train to leicester and the kp.

Patchy memories but just unbelievable

Middle of nowhere, half an hour outside of Gaborone, Botswana. Was staying with distant relatives after a few months in Cape Town. My family didn’t watch or understand football, so had no idea what was happening or what it meant. So they’d gone to bed while I watched the Chelsea v Spurs match in the living room. Spent the last 20 minutes of the game pacing around the room, trying not to wake anyone up. Final whistle went, had to run outside and far away from the house to shout and cheer to myself. Went back to the house and FaceTimed my dad, both of us in tears. Then hung up and rang Radio Leicester and got on the radio for a few minutes. Went back inside and finished off the whiskey my CT mates had gifted me when I left. Just a wonderful, joyful night to myself.

The trophy lift night was far messier and I still have the scars.

The Soar Point, it’s a shame no TV cameras were there like in the Market Tavern and I think the Local Hero.

Liminal experience in the aftermath of Hazard’s goal, I’d had a bet on him as next goal scorer too which paid for the night. I was expecting to go to Republic so wore some terrible jeans and sheux combo. IIRC a photo of me up a lamppost made it onto BBC news’ article

Had been away for the weekend, not looking at phone, but seeing I got offered a ticket for United A, but too late was the cry.

Got home, watched the 1st half, sent the kids to bed, including my 12yo season ticket holder son.

Turned over for the World Snooker final, thinking it was done, watching the Jester heading towards the title.

Then my phone started to ping a lot, turned back to see it was 2-1 to Spurs with just under 10 to go, then saw Hazard score and a very nervous last 7 mins, rushed upstairs to tell the boy on full time.

There was a bottle of champagne that had been in the house for ages, would be rude not to, got a bit emotional and then just watched the rest on Sky Sports and Sky Sports news.

Just very emotional, and probably very hard to really understand and believe. But overall, just very very happy

Bought lots of papers the next day and headed towards the end of the week and the Everton game

Lawrence Sheriff in Rugby, straight to Leicester after the game. I took my brother home to Cov about 3am, weird how quiet it was there (oh how the tables have turned). Got home myself, too late to sleep, so I watched the highlights and news coverage, set off to work and bought every paper on the stand on the way

I have to say that regardless of the sh1t show the club is right now, there is no other club that has had the rollercoaster we’ve had over the last 13 years particularly. We’ll be back.

I remember this, everyone was chanting ‘Liam, give us a song’ and he made like he wasn’t interested and was trying to chill, then he just burst into song.

I concur there were some proper melts in that end. I’m not someone who thinks you should never criticise players but I got in an argument with someone who was slaughtering Ulloa all game.
