No foreign away trips pointless.. team need to stay in England/Wales. Our oppotents should be national league to championship level. Exception a friendly against Rangers or Celtic

Away: Harborough Town

Away: York City

Away: Newport County

Away: Port Vale

York and Boston away would be greatly appreciated, similarly Skegness, Truro, Margate or Dover. But come on a good foreign trip is clearly needed.

Didn't we play Celtic at home as part of the MON deal and their fans trashed a few bars in town, I was too young but have heard (prob exaggerated) stories.

Send them up to the Austrian mountains or wherever it was that Sir Nige used to take them.

 

Get them on bikes for 60 miles a day up and down the hills.

Presumably costs quite a lot of money to fly players out to Europe for a training camp, accommodate them, feed them - when we're supposed to have world class training facilities at home. I doubt many other League One teams will be doing it, and we're surely at the point where we need to make savings wherever possible.

This but unironically. It was fine just to have on in the background and to take a look at a few unknown players. 

 

Horrific that the teams we used to rock up for friendlies with we're now competing against.

Every year we have pointless arguments about going abroad. Unless it's to Thailand then there is nothing wrong with spending a week away, if done properly, getting to know team-mates, a new manager, team bonding and a couple of games.

 

However for us it would be a mix-match of players who are still trying to leave and kids, probably with no manager.

Yep and normally clubs we might have done loan deals with. So Tranmere, Newport and Chesterfield possibilities

I’ve heard it was going to be Butlins but the club couldn’t afford the package they were offering, so it’s going to be a field on the New Parks!
