John Bloor?

An 82 year old who'd probably be leaving it to his children. Sounds great...

Any purchaser will want to buy at a price that reflects us being a League One club that needs a lot of change but has potential.

Top would only sell on the basis of a price that views us as a PL club on the verge of Europe.

Probably wants to knock the stadium down and build houses there

Well with King Power in charge and Rudkin at the helm it’s probably the best thing for it! Clearly no use as a stadium! When we are in league 2 could probably play at the training centre

Maybe Top is such an idiot, he needs some cash to keep playing Horsey, he would definitely sell us then for whatever he could.,

Yes please, although a local consortium would equate to not very deep pockets.

However, Doug King at Cov has been a great Chairman so could be a good thing!

Maybe a Vardy led consortium?

Doesn’t have to have deep pockets, would happily take a good sound business person making good decisions and creating a good environment, culture and environment.

I wonder if the promotions of certain individuals inside the club was an indicator of Top's openness to a sale. Position his mates in more senior roles so that when a sale is concluded and the inevitable boardroom changes occur they depart with nice big pay offs. His way of looking after those who are close to him.

There's sense in that, but it involves Top thinking so I'm not so sure.

Did he call bilal aswell?

He was the most reliable source when we were in the prem. Called cooper extremely early. He called Ayew early. He was the first to say the cooper was pushing for older premier league experienced players and that played out exactly as he described.

He has been very right with takeover stuff at over clubs as well. He’s not always right but he’s a huge step above some of the other chancers out there….. there’s a bit of hope

Right now I would take a competent businessman running us as a business. Try and get the club sustainable instead of living on the never never. Run the right way this club can be profitable, the commercial side has been neglected for so long, basic things like ticket sales, club shop, catering etc are simply so bad. There’s also no clever thinking, like get 20-30000 people on site there at a decent price, use the opportunity to sell more reasonably price food/drink etc, not just mediocre rubbish

I like the idea of a local led consortium. John Bloor is a good shout but don’t forget that there are the likes of Mike Ashley lurking about as well. I believe he was one of the bidders for Sheffield Wednesday and low balled them. To be fair to him though he does have a good eye for business and buying up failing businesses; and we are the latter!

Think you missed the point though. A bit morbid but the likelihood that he might die soon and hand over it to an incompetent child is pretty likely. Back to square 1

We're at a point where Mike Ashley would be our perfect option- drain the swamp, get us sustainable and start building a squad full of saleable assets again, flip the club for 2-3x what he paid in 5 years' time.

Both his sons are on the ball, business wise, so it wouldn’t be handing over the reigns to an incompetent child.

It says local consortium, Frasers Group are based in Derbyshire, so if they mean local as Midlands then it could well be them.

We'd probably agree a sale with a clause that if it's not completed by a certain date the buyer would get it at a knock down price or even free knowing us.

Charlie methvem said that many clubs our size are currently for sale but the report states they are only investors. You’d think they would have a view to being full owners at some point though. Think Aiyawatt will ultimately be pushed into selling eventually by king power unless KPs finances do a U-turn but even that is a long time away.
