Less than £2m seems like an absolute steal. Would you pay a lot of money for someone who has spent nearly 2 years injured.
Popular Post Tuna Posted 20 July Popular Post Posted 20 July 2 years left on contract, just had a decent world cup, international defender in his prime. No way he goes for £2 million. Laughable. 10

He’s likely on more than £20k a week so it saves us another chunk on the wage bill. Souttar has 2 years left on his LCFC contract. 2028. 2
AKCJ Posted 20 July Posted 20 July £2m is far too low. I know we already know we're in the shit but if we're accepting that then it's confirmation to what we already know... we're ****ed.   We should be able to get £5m. Especially considering we have released 10 big earners and have a made roughly £60m in sales.

Swarles Barkley Posted 20 July Posted 20 July If it was 2m you would have every club in the championship enquiring. 3
Silebyfox_89 Posted 20 July Posted 20 July JR wouldn't go that low. For that fee we might as well keep him

jv1 Posted 20 July Posted 20 July We paid 12m ish didn’t we - means his book value is around 5m unless I’m completely wrong - if so then absolutely no chance we book a loss at 2m - zero chanceÂ

Genuine insiders with actual information tend to build up large numbers of followers very quickly. The fact that this account still has well less than 500 followers should tell you everything you need to know about the likely accuracy of this rumour. 1

FoxinNotts Posted 20 July Posted 20 July Sheffield Star news outlet, reporting that we're asking for £10m.  Quite right too. Everything considered, how he did at the WC, contract left, contracted wages left, injury record (negative) £10m is right.  Basically, if you want either Nelson or Souttar, pay up! 3 1

Given the business McCarron has done so far, I think £10m is achieveable, it may be the initial down payment is slightly less, but I think we get incentives and add-ons based on appearences due to his injury history.Â

I'd think it'd be too much for many Championship clubs tbh. Maybe those that have just come down from the prem.

However, I think a move somewhere else is more than likely.  A return to Stoke has also been touted, if they can go out and spend £10m on Galbraith then they may have some money in the coffers to bring Soutts backÂ

Scotch Posted 20 July Posted 20 July IF he wants to go, I really don't care what we get for him. Obviously the club need to worry about that but I'm just sick of guys who don't want to be here poisoning the rest of the club and having to watch the result of it on the pitch every week. Not to say that I think he has a bad attitude but if he isn't committed, it shows. 2
RedSoxUK Posted 20 July Posted 20 July £10m for a sick note ahahahahahahaha. Not happening. He'll go for up to £5m to Sheffield United.
