Popular Post LVFox Posted 7 August Popular Post Posted 7 August Souttar, if we can keep him fit, is the best centre back in the league - not even close. Add in, that he is a leader and a goal threat and we’re right to hold out for a good fee - as long as that doesn’t **** us financially. I also don’t buy that he can’t play in a Russel Martin back line, he’s solid on the ball. 6

If RM is genuinely wanting him to stay, and not just trying to bump up the price, then if RM thinks he can use him, that's good enough for me 1

Kp1984 Posted 7 August Posted 7 August We may try bring in a CB now but with Nelson’s injury I’m not sure they will let Souttar go

Lambert09 Posted 7 August Posted 7 August I’m often cautious on getting carried away but there’s no way we don’t smash the league if we have souttar. We’d be in for a very enjoyable year 2

He’s undoubtedly a very good CB for this league but the jury will be out until we see the defence as a collective, unfortunately it seems we’re stuck with Okoli who as we’ve seen, won’t be the easiest player to form a solid partnership with.

I don't see Okoli working well with Souttar in RM's system, he'll want a good passer alongside him with pace. That why he's saying that we're going to have to go into the market, can see the club getting a centre-half who's comfortable on the ball on loan.

Claudio Fannieri Posted 7 August Posted 7 August I still believe he will go before the window closes, I think the club , Souttar and Russell know and expect this but it’s clear to see we ain’t going to be bullied into a cheap sale. I think he will go before Notts County game and for our asking price. 2

Hoping we’re working on something in the background with Nelson’s injury too. We can’t go into this season relying on Okoli as I’m not convinced he’s consistently good enough even for this level.

Scotch Posted 7 August Posted 7 August I don't see him or ANY of our senior CB's here at the end of the window. He will go on a permanent. Okoli and Faes will go on loan and Nelson would have went had he not got injured. We will need at least 3 new CB's before the end of the window.
Ric Flair Posted 7 August Posted 7 August Souttar is by no means slow, it's a lazy rhetoric because he's 6ft 6. 3
