It seems to me his whole focus is to talk the price down I'm sure billionaires would be happy to see that. He doesn't need to be credible himself as he's unlikely to have much of % of ownership if any.

It does happen, but there's usually a motive behind it. Mandaric played every trick in the book, although times have changed and it was a bit further down the line I suppose.

I reckon the price is going to be determined by the very small number people willing to fund the ongoing operating costs of an incredibly badly run League One club, not because a two time winner of the man of the decade 2025 (we'll leave aside why a man of the decade prize seems to be awarded annually) tells the Sun it's priced wrongly.

 

I hope the club is sold but I wish the media would exercise a bit more judgement and stop giving obvious time wasters air time.

As someone who may or may not have worked for a rather well known Indian owned business in the West Midlands, I can’t say I’d be overly enthused if they were successful in their bid...

Which is exactly why he is doing it, he doesn’t have the backing……

 

There probably is a serious investors current to negotiating, but we won’t hear about it until a deal is done…. @StanSP mentioned Joe Mansueto….. which I think is a very good shout! People of that Ilk don’t shout from the rooftops….. Lal is a time waster.

KPFC would then be saying that they told us so, to be careful what we wished for, whilst completely ignoring the state of the club and idiots in charge that led to it, who also agreed the sale.

£200 million including a debt is very steep for any owner, if and when the club is sold I wouldn't be surprised if the club is sold for £200 million. Most likely at some stage the price will drop dramatically as situation worsens maybe even under £100 million. Might be where the club may have not include seagrave in the deal and be forced to sell that separately. Possible King Power may choose still own that and look to rent it out to the football club with the new owners, another way for King Power to get there money.

I’d imagine one way to get the sale value down considerably would be to not include Seagrave, but lease it to the club long term as part of the deal

For me if Seagrave is removed from any sort of deal which means the football club will no longer own it... wouldn't completely be bad thing as we both highlighted King Power and the owners might agree tenants deal to remain there. Owning the stadium is more important, you lose ownership of that could create complications later on whilst a training ground isn't in. Belvoir Drive is also still in operations anyway. Keeping that actually was good move.
