There’s no denying he’s been none existent so far, very disappointing thus far is understating it

However, there’s no denying confidence can make a person absolutely shot, I’m thinking that’s where this lads at unfortunately

Russels worked with him and perhaps thought he can get a tune out the lad and get his confidence back with dropping to league one

there’s no denying he’s shown nothing so far, but there has to be something about him? Other than last season is two seasons previous to that were better than our new striker Emil Riis on both goals and assists!

3 games in is still too early to be calling him a disaster, it’ll be a disaster if this continues for the season having paid £1.5m for him, I’d say so far it’s just been an awful start for him and hopefully he grows into the side, somehow

This probably says more about Emil Riis than it does about Cullen.

It's a long season, hopefully he has an impact at some point. Not been good enough so far, and he might not get better but I don't like how quickly we are to jump on players.

RM chucked Cullen on for Bristric but very quickly it was evident he wasn’t carrying a threat or pressing well up top. He swapped Cullen with BDCR, moving Nobby up front he was THAT bad.

Can I be smug about this one yet?!

Exactly like Ayew, it is ok to judge a player based on performances (or lack thereof) at previous clubs.

A heinous signing that was always going to end up like this.

The fact that his mate, RM has dropped him for the starting 11 already says it all.

"Smug" is a really weird word - reads like you want him to fail.

Hasn't shown anything to warrant his signing yet but hopefully he's just on bad form or carrying a knock.

I think everyone has seen the same and so has Russel - he looks shooting confidence and at the minute simply not good enough - let’s see - it’s a long old season but at the minute is offering nothing - he won’t make the bench Saturday - hopefully for all of us there is a player in there somewhere and he can show it at some point this season

If smug is a weird word, I’m glad that you didn’t sit with me when rant about us recently.

I merely used that word as have had people on here say things like “you have to give players time etc etc”

Completely ignoring that Cullen is 27 and played professional football for what 8/9 seasons?

I actually agree with that sentiment on a Bristic type signing but I’m just bored of how certain people think that you can’t have a negative opinion on a player before they sign for us.

Should be nowhere near the match day 18 on current showing and options now available to us. Martin has some difficult decisions to make as it's a big outlay for the level we're at to bin him already. But if he doesn't, who's missing out? Lucky Chaplin can't stay fit at the minute but Doyle and Riis added makes him look 3rd/4th choice in either the 10 or up front.

I’ve had a good think and even if we had 9 subs available to use and Chaplin back he still shouldn’t even make the bench.

Not in the squad.

What an expensive waste of minimal resources available.

We never learn as a club.

Hopefully it fire him up!

You need a squad, make the team and bench hard to get in.

Show everyone doesn't matter were you come from or how much you cost, perform or you aren't playing.

Good point, but don't thing he will be for much longer if he doesn't.

He still done more that Cullen.

I’ve got more respect for Martin for dropping him than maybe taking the easier option and putting him on the bench. Balls in Cullen’s court now as to how he responds.

There’s having a squad, then there’s being 5th choice for your best position.

We should have not spent any money on him, let alone a pretty big fee for a League One club with known money worries.

I agree as I said in his transfer thread.
