He has had a part in all of this and he is an employee. Either Top is absolutely blind or he dare not get rid.of him. Either explanation is deeply concerning and does not give me any confidence we are going to change our direction of travel. We have never been a third tier regular and should not accept being so (or even worse).

Wharton is a product of getting game time at a young age, he needed that trust from Blackburn to become the player that he is today. Whose to say that if Page didn't get that same trust that he wouldn't have taken the next step in his development. For context there was an England youth game I watched where Braybrooke and Wharton played midfield together. Between the two of them Braybrooke was the one controlling the game and who looked more impressive. I get Braybrooke had an ACL to deal with but these £60mil Prem midfielders arent some mythical level of talent that our players can never reach, they were just nurtured properly and avoided injury. Page, if nurtured properly, could very well end up being a PL midfielder like Wharton. Edited 9 August by honeybradger

There’s other examples of Birmingham and Blackburn which are less than three examples you’ve mentioned. They were not really the players they were getting at. Valentin Joseph and Camden Schraper from Blackburn have left to PL clubs at young ages without senior apps. The latter being just 14 when pinched by Chelsea for £700k. There’s another lad Ty Livesley, just turning 16 likely to join Man City this summer. Just seen it now, I'm in a pretty bad place with the club currently over the last 18 months. The anger I feel about this and those stupid stupid idiots running the club and the easy picking we are for these approaches. We have to sell because of our parlous financial state and our league position. Not only have they destroyed our very recent history, their crass stupidity has destroyed our short term future. Page had something, more I felt than Monga based on last season. Situations like Top's farcical laughing interview about promotion last season and Rudkin, I'm mean a Leicester lad, a long history with the club and you have have stayed after doing this to us. I have a season ticket but I just don't feel I'll have the passion for this, we should not be in the division and losing these locally developed youthful talents. When you're in the top flight you get £30m for Barnes etc. when you're in League one you get £10m & less. Gutting. Not so funny now Top. 1

Instead Monga and potentially Page could be gone before we've been able to see what they can really do, and Nelson would be gone if wasn't for his injury. While the likes of Mavididi, BDR, Skipp and Wout are still here, stinking the place out. Depressing.
