Yeah it’s so hard to judge a striker playing this system/tactics.

 
Hes barely had a sniff and I thought it was harsh bringing Riis straight in at the weekend.

He’s made some really good channel runs ( as did Riis Saturday) but our over coached popinjays chose to ignore and go sideways or back!

 We badly need Vardy like characters who when things aren’t going well say f##k him it’s not working do this, sort it out on the pitch! Lundstram come on down?

He has been starved of service but has he "got something about him" as people keep posting? I'm not so sure.

 

It would be nice to see him with a partner though and we actually play two up front.

I would love to see him playing alongside Riis. We are playing 2 wingers, why not play 2 strikers & get some crosses into the box, both the strikers are decent height so it may work & would certainly be more exciting.

 

However I know it won't happen as nobody plays 2 strikers nowadays. Being a centre forward must be a nightmare

Any new player needs to be given time, especially one that’s never played in the country before. It took Vardy a year to get up to Champ standard (and no he’s not as good as Vardy).

Just to be clear, I'm not saying he should have scored or that it's massively concerning for the reasons you've both stated. What I'm pointing out is that this is a huge step up in terms of pressure and he's been let down by the tactics and the management of him. It's just easy to see him thinking that he hasn't scored in 6 (8 including his previous club), the manager has hooked me early a few times/dropped me/I'm not getting any chances etc and him feeling even more pressure

Bit early to be making such a definitive judgement of a young player who's adjusting to both living and working in a new county, but a whole new league, is still only 23 and has hardly been given any chances to even attempt to score.

Where is the excitement & outrage in that. I had loads of better ideas of why he excluded for 'footballing reasons' than that.

Given that we have only two strikers, I find it hard to believe he’d leave one out of the squad for ‘numbers’ reasons. Surely you include your only other striker among your seven subs?

Journalists were being briefed otherwise pre match. 
 

Nothing major but fully deserved to be excluded

Definitely.  He needs time and chances.  Many on here wrote Vardy off at first and Admir is 3/4 years younger than Vardy was back then.

He may be the only other striker according to us but it is very clear that Martin see's Reid as a striker as well
