Kids clearly just don’t look ready at all. Really looked sloppy and sluggish out there. Need some more good solid professionals to teach them

69%! Hopefully improve on that but not a bad start away from home

Plenty of work to do we need a few more players for sure Skipp and Thomas should never start for us again

Watson and Howell looked ok Alves, Joseph and Braybrooke where the three best players also desperately need another striker as well

Cullen seems a bit meh

Wouldn’t surprise me if we miss out on playoffs and get our lowest league finish ever… today I didn’t see anything to give me confidence with our back line, it’s so rotten. We will concede many again

Should put to bed anybody thinking it'd be like the Enzo season where we just death by football everyone, need a plan b, need better in game management and a few more in and outs

Youngsters were the highlights

We're trying to death by pass everyone now and conceded 6 big chances.

Imagine thinking this style of football works

Such a strange game, I didn't think most of our players badly, but that left hand side of Souttar and Thomas was so awful it undid everything else the others did, genuinely every big chance came from those 2 and McCarthy

Observation.

This league will be more intense and physical than previous 2 seasons. We look nowhere near what's required for the fight.

You get lucky with opposition finishing but some will punish you. Defensively we look a complete mess and will give the opposition chances each week.

No leader in middle of Park, we look like we needed an experienced fighter in there.

Alves/Braybrook looked bright. Encouraging.

The no striker thing is beyond ridiculous.  If RM wants to dig his own grave hes doing a good job.

Keeper looked rusty. Not inspiring given Stola deemed as not good enough.

Thomas should have been moved on, hes as bad as others in defence, probably worse and will be a huge problem for us.

Bristric in a short cameo at least gave us some focal point, he has to start.

Need to drain the swamp further but my god we still need 3-4 new faces.

Deeply worrying defensively.

Probably most of what we feared about appointing Martin - we also look completely validated to believe our youngsters are our best players.

McCarthy was an awful signing at the time and doesn’t look any better now - and our centre backs need to be a completely different profile

I’m not having anyone defend that performance.

It was so poor, I can’t remember getting so angry during a game in a long time.

About what I expected really. The frustrating thing is it feels like simple things would make a huge difference. No urgency, no focal point for attack and wanted possession with balls which should never come of a pro footballers boot.

Defence may need more work though.

I think it could be e a slog of a season.

Cullen, Reid and Thomas both at the standard we need based purely on today. Alves, Braybrooke, Joseph all very good, thought Souttar/Burns/Watson didn’t do much wrong. McCarthy is going to cost a fair few goals this year

What?😂

Russell Martin has not reflected on why he is a crap manager. He's shown at his previous clubs that he's happy to play this calamitous style until he gets sacked. If we'd been playing a Championship Club we'd have lost by four or five today. He talks a good game and there must be a few City supporters feeling conned by him already. Wish to fck that I hadn't bought a season ticket last week.

First game of the season lads. Relax lol

A 1-1 draw and a decent performance would have been fine but that performance on top of the Northampton game shows we still have the same weaknesses weve had for 2 years. No fight and mentally and physically weak. Also highlights that Martin has learnt nothing from his disaster at Rangers and is hell bent on having 65%+ possession every game even at the expense of us winning or actually creating any chances. 90th minute 1-1 and we're still at walking pace passing around the back. Garbage!

The young lads give me a glimmer of hope.

But some of our defensive mistakes were laughable. Only thing more laughable was their shocking finishing when we gifted them sitters.

I can't believe how shit our legacy players are. Are they eventually going to find their level in the conference?!

Take the money for Souttar before he plays another game. Thomas should retire.

Both will start 20+ this season, if not 30+
