Club want to give as much notice as possible. Currently no postponements but I expect that to change nearer the time. Also lists EFL rules for postponements.

Unlike the Premier League and Sky Bet Championship, the Sky Bet League One programme continues during these periods. Five of our league fixtures are currently scheduled across the season’s three international windows.

There are no postponements to announce at this stage and all five games remain scheduled as listed. However, under EFL rules, any of these fixtures could be affected by international selections involving either Leicester City or our opponents.

We are sharing this information now to keep supporters updated, provide as much notice as possible and help minimise the potential impact on travel and other matchday plans should any changes become necessary.

SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER INTERNATIONAL WINDOW

Monday 21 September to Tuesday 6 October 2026

Saturday 26 September – Wigan Athletic (H), 3pm

Saturday 3 October – Blackpool (A), 3pm

NOVEMBER INTERNATIONAL WINDOW

Monday 9 November to Tuesday 17 November 2026

Saturday 14 November – Bradford City (H), 3pm

MARCH INTERNATIONAL WINDOW

Monday 22 March to Tuesday 30 March 2027

Friday 26 March – Wycombe Wanderers (H), 3pm

Monday 29 March – AFC Wimbledon (A), 3pm

EFL POSTPONEMENT PROCESS

EFL rules allow a club to request a postponement if at least three players are called up for senior, Under-21, Under-20 or Under-19 international duty, provided they meet the League’s first-team appearance criteria. Players named only on standby or long lists do not count. A separate provision applies if a club’s first and second-choice goalkeepers are both selected.

A postponement is not automatic. Either club involved must meet the criteria and submit a request before any change can be approved.

When two matches fall in one international window, any application from a team during either of those windows would have to cover both games. This means a club can’t seek to postpone one game and not the other.

The EFL requires at least five clear days’ notice when the club requesting a postponement is at home, and seven days when it is away. As international squads are announced at different times, changes can therefore be confirmed relatively close to matchday.

All five fixtures currently remain scheduled as listed and unless supporters hear otherwise from us, they should continue to plan on the basis that they will be taking place as scheduled. Should any of these fixtures be postponed, tickets already purchased will remain valid for the rearranged fixture. Any confirmed change will be communicated on the Official LCFC App and LCFC.com as soon as possible.

BROADCAST SELECTIONS

We know how important confirmed dates and kick-off times are for supporters planning to follow us home and away. All fixtures remain subject to change, with broadcast selections for Sky Bet League One fixtures confirmed in line with the EFL’s 2026/27 TV Game Selection Process – you can see the full dates for when broadcast selections are made HERE.

All fixture movements involving Leicester City, including in the Emirates FA Cup, Carabao Cup and EFL Trophy will be communicated on the Official LCFC App and LCFC.com as soon as they are confirmed.

I think if a team as more than 3 call ups or more if its senior or under 21's and under 19's level etc the game can be called off. I'm expecting Leicester most likely will get a few games rearranged, Leicester have currently six or seven players involved with international duties.

Frustratingly I already booked my room at Blackpool for October as I got the international breaks mixed up, luckily I don't pay till I get there so can cancel. But I doubt that will go ahead as will Wigan home.

Rare useful info to the match going supporters from the club.

I accidentally missed a paragraph off on the article, saying the below:

The information above has been included following feedback from our Fan Advisory Board. You can find out more about the Board and the Club’s wider Fan Engagement Framework HERE.

I think clubs are going to have to take the hit with the Easter schedule. Better to lose a few for two games rather than have midweeks for up to five consecutive weeks.

Whole host of potential u21 Internationals for a variety of countries

Daniels

King

Ali

Gray

Bausor

etc

Not sure any of them would warrant a first team game being cancelled though

We just had the two internationals, Jodi(Malta) and Jatta(Gambia) and we got rid of both of them, so...problem solved!

Can I interest you in an esteemed Belgium International to fill the void?

Players called up have to have been involved in squads so Coulibaly wouldn’t count.
