Why was there booing? Let me think:

 

- Losing 2-0 in under 30 minutes to a team that finished just outside the relegation places in league 1 last season. 

 

- Constantly losing the ball and getting bullied. Getting knocked off the ball way too easily time and time again. Only player that didn't was Burns who I actually quite like.

 

- A player that has played in the premier League misses the ball completely and kicks their player. How is a player that has played at the highest level not able to judge the bounce of a ball. 

 

- Subs all wrong. Why not give a proper striker time to work with different wingers. He took off Alves, who was one of few show spirit to win, skill and determination to win the ball back. He's a little lightweight but he is there trying to win the ball back and did so more than once. He is like a little dog that wants his ball back from a bigger one and won't let himself be bullied like that. Great attitude. I like the lad. Burns was the only one who could physically compete and one that wasn't getting bullied because he can stand his ground. Both went off and Russ put players that wanted to cross yet their target was BDCR...so no one. 

 

- Down to 10 men.. I know I will play it out from the back still?!  Are these players actually thick?! They should have enough experience to know that we need to get up the pitch quickly. One is an international that's played at the world cup for goodness sake. But no, let's faff about and bring on the pressure when we have man less?! Martin needs to change it. Embarrassing. McCarthy doesn't know what to do! He's brain-dead as well. Just clear it you muppet. 

 

- Play from the back with defenders that can't pass. Yeah, that is just dim. A manger should realise this and just tell them to get rid. Again especially with 10 men. 

 

- 1 shot on target in the second half....1! 

 

- Unfit team. How on earth did Burton look fitter than us?!

 

We have watched dross since Enzo left, and maybe even before Rodgers was sacked. It's not just one game it's years and years of watching our club fail time and time again. Poor signings, poor management, poor coaching, bad decision after bad decision. Martin was on thin ice as people didn't want him for this exact reason. That's on the club AGAIN!

 

There is so much wrong yet people still wonder why there is booing. It's frustration that we are seeing the same mistakes over and over again and it's got to the point where there isn't anything left. We are a shambles of a club. How can you clap after we lost and now find ourselves 18th in League 1?!!  How is that acceptable in any scenario?! I can take losing, we certainly didn't win every game the last time we were in the league, but everything was better under Pearson.... EVERYTHING, even we lost better (if that makes sense)

Just done a bit of searching on Google maps.

We don't have proper running tracks anymore, it's not just us, iv looked at a few other training centres and none seem to either.

But the point is, .. is that the way now? Just treadmill running? 

I know players don't need to run marathons,  but at least some stamina 🫣

Genuinely think my local team Farnborough who play in National League south could beat us. We're an absolute sack of shite. All I think when I look at our defence is the Benny Hill theme tune. And it's not even funny because yesterday was a chance for a fresh start. I'd put everything to one side and was looking forward to the game with some optimism, we went and did that

I’m not sure why people are surprised. This is Russell ball. He has done nothing in his career to suggest he will be a success here. No one wanted him, and all that is happening is exactly what we all thought. Completely as expected.

Administration/League Two on current trajectory, but maybe the captains of our sinking ship will realise there are tens of millions still for them to lose by doing nothing…. Doubt it though

Yes, I agree with you... after the president's death, his son showed he couldn't run a football club... Rudkin and others should have been kicked out a long time ago after all the mistakes they made... I've been an Italian fan since Ranieri's time, and these incompetents have destroyed our beloved club... I went to a game in Leicester and one in London... I'd like to come again, but only if they get rid of these pseudo-managers, coaches, presidents, etc.
(Martin, another incompetent... he replaces the three best players on the pitch... Crazy stuff...!!!)

The team hasnt been fully fit since at least 2020 and i’d argue even longer. Its been one of the biggest issues in our recent history.

Exactly, Russell has enough of a history for us to know what we were getting, slow, ponderous, suicidal football. Worse still It doesn't matter if we sack him, Topkin will manage to find somebody even worse.

If I’d known Martin was getting the job at the time I got a season ticket, I wouldn’t have got one. This post is not me defending him. I hated the Enzo football as well, and the football we at times played last week at Notts County, too. However, I didn’t think it was too much tippy tappy passing yesterday (outside of the nonsense going on inside our own box). 
 

Our goal for example was good work down the right, a fast switch of play, great cross in and easy finish. We did try and do that a few times in wide areas, get decent crosses in but there is literally no one in the box to get on the end of them. I didn’t think that’s what he said about Britstic either, I thought he said his game is about power and running but he couldn’t do that anymore because he hasn’t trained enough and was tired. 
 

The club have once again made a total mess of recruitment. We’ve got one striker, two centre halves, neither of whom want to be here plus a load of very similar (albeit good) little players who would thrive with physicality and decent players around them. 
 

I don’t think any Manager good or bad stands a chance here at the moment.

He was probably the worst choice they could have made and they went and did it anyway! Nobody wanted him and his style of play because we’d had a gut full of it, nobody but Rudkin whose obsession with possession has got us where we are today.

The running of our club is absolutely scandalous and nobody is being held to account. Shameful.

Not a chance this is the bottom while Martin tries to play this style with the defenders and holding midfielders we have at the club. We stay up if we are lucky and then the walls will completely cave in.

A different perspective perhaps, without denying the myriad problems that we have whatsoever. Last season, Burton Albion beat Cardiff City away in September. Cardiff looked really awful but were promoted fairly easily by the end.

Didnt help pre match showing the clips of being premier league champions. Seemed a horrible reality check where gone from then to now. As much as i like that opening i dont think they should show at the present.
