This is a poor performance we’re standing back far too deep giving Luton to much time and space far too many silly passes losing the ball, Martin needs to change this around or we’re losing this one !

on the other hand that linesman a min after the goal went in he flags up surely that can’t be counted plus the defender was slightly playing Riis on !

This formation stinks

If you dominate possession it looks great because your wingbacks aren’t spending too much time defending deep in your own half - if, however, a team has a bit more about them, it can look very unbalanced at times.

Has Martin got the options to switch to a back four on the bench though? Burns at right back?

Going forward this formation clearly has its positives imo, but regardless, this defence will always cost us points, especially with Okoli as one of the three.

Can’t get out simply. They’re happy to let our 3 CBs have the ball and lock on to a press once we inevitably try to play it into midfield - the fact Okoli is totally right footed and refuses to play the ball down the line off his left makes the whole sequence even more inevitable. See the goal.

Every team we play should play like that because it’s so obvious the defenders we have are so crap on the ball and can’t play this way

It’s all so slow and why does it feel like we have no genuine attackers on the pitch. Alves playing wing back 😂 formation needs to change. Bench looks abysmal too. We’re doomed.

I’d probably stick with it despite lack of proper RB atm because of this, we are shite at the back regardless so might as well go with a system more likely to get us goals to compensate for that

What positives?

Not sure Russell can make any subs that will bring us back into the game unless he fancies Burns as a static left winger in place of Thomas (or subbing Okoli off so Thomas can drop to LCB or LB in a back four)

When was the last time we won from a losing position

Spurs away? Did we do it last season, I try not to think about it too much
