Not sure we are capable of blocking this out for another 3+ hours (though Rhodes is doing his best...).  But blocking is probably better than taking risks to establish a lead which would eventually be knocked off at T20 speed.   So what do we say...?  Block or score some runs....?

Swindells and Tom Taylor are stroke players.... in fact, Taylor is a bit more than that and is a power hitter.

 

Better to let them go and everyone else can bat time.

 

Keep moaning to the umpires about the wind and light in the mean time.

Seems to be the worst thing you can do in cricket, say someone is batting well. Only slightly better than adding up their score.

Weird season but in the few games weve had its got better! 

 

Ackermann looks to be a good influence as Skip. 

 

Glad Rhodes proved me wrong. Brigadier block that.

Good effort to see it through today in presumably difficult conditions. Hope we can give the T20 a real go, bringing hom number 4 would be incredible.

Better than the 'Foxes Unleashed' tag they came up with last year mind. Since when do foxes wear leashes?

Not really imagine he's cheap good 1 day player on his day and a better batsman then Rhodes who got a 3 year deal

Hope we give Patel a go next game. From what the Essex chat seems to indicate he is a decent player but they have about 10 batsmen in front of him
