I don't know but have to wonder if Weso's upset Holloway.

Everyone's aware that Weso's a big mate of Shush! and it seems a strange coincidence that arguably our second best midfield player has had just one minute - coming off the bench against Plymouth - since Shush! left.

Yes, he's on a long contract - til July 2011 - but something sems to have radically changed.

It's ridiculous if he's simply another part of Holloway's purge of the youngsters and reliance instead on experience, so what's the truth?

It's not form and fitness because his 90-minute midfield performance last time out against Wolves reserves was as good as I've seen from any City player this season.

January 19 against Norwich was his last start for City which must have been close to Shush!'s departure day. His previous start was West Brom on December 8. Okay, injury would have played a part but something doesn't seem right ?

Yes but to be fair i was at the Norwich game and was very disapointed with Wesos performance! But i do know he will be a class player!! Can anyone remember how good him and Stearman!! Were in centre midfield against Aston Villa in 06 When we lost in extra time??

Could there be a chance they are making sure he is cpompletely fit before he comes back into the first team?

Yes, that's certainly possible. Last week's reserves game was postponed and he was down to play at Walsall today.

Still a bit strange he's not even been on the first team bench after such a 90-minute reserves performance a fortnight ago and with us being so short of quality alternatives in central midfield.

Be grateful that he's 'Stephen Clemence' shit and not 'Andy Johnson' shit.

Thats true, but I'd take Jason fucking Jarrett over Clemence at the minute. At least he ran a lot.

"We are right in a battle at the moment and the sooner we pick up some more points the better. I believe we'll be okay but we've got to start doing it on the field rather than just talking about it."

Clemence - **** off...I'm bored reading the same shit from you all season long.

I know, he thinks he can talk the talk yet he can't walk the walk!

I thought everyone was raving about his performance against Norwich and then a crap game against Coventry, as they all were and he's back to being a shit house again?

Thing is about Clemence he's won't be drop, he's been another Gaz Williams for me.

Stuhill prompted me to discover an interesting point when he said he'd like to see Andy King on the first team bench.

He implied it would be ahead of Weso and I therefore assumed he'd stick with Clemence and Oakley as starters.

Why, I wondered?

What is it about Clemence, from anything he's shown this season, that would justify his place being automatic?

Clemence, to date, has missed six League games.

Wolves at home .... 0-0 draw.

Wednesday away....2-0 win.

Barnsley home........2-0 win.

Colchester away .....1-1 draw (with depleted side)

Preston away ..........1-1 draw (seemingly good winner disallowed at the death).

Norwich away .........0-0 draw.

Ten points from 6 games.

.

At that rate through the rest of the season we'd have amassed some 56 points by now, enough to put us right the thick of the play-offs battle.

Is it just coincidence that in those six League games without him, four of them away, we've never lost.

It's true Clemence and Oakley would still start in the centre for me, still!! I must admit, i am fastly becoming impatient with Clemence's inconsistent form. I am literally one more poor performance away from me also calling for him to be dropped. Perhaps it is his role of Captain that has made me wait longer than others. I'm not sure what dropping the Captain would do to our players, I'm not sure if he even is a good captain and how the players see him. The problem I have with Clemence is exactly the same I have with the whole team, He can be brilliant, like Leicester one week BUT he can then be crap the next, like Leicester! So it becomes a matter of how long do you persist and show faith in a player, well like i said, he has Cardiff to keep my support.

Like him or not, he's still the only central midfielder that looks like he may score, he has 3 to his name and I think he hit the bar 3 or 4 times in the beginning months of the season so with a bit of luck he could have had 6 or 7 goals, he has also come close on numerous occasions.

I'm not his biggest fan but I would stick with him to be honest.

If nothing has kicked off it must be absolutely totally frustrating sitting in the grandstand being fully fit as i believe he is and watching that pile of poo week after week. If he is not in Holloways plans then I can possibly see a loan move request to play. Since Sheehans departure he has been moved down the list a long way.

contrary to what Bert thinks, I hope he comes good but I just have this nagging feeling that he'll just wind up as another in a long line of expensive flops.

But I really hope I'm wrong

No coincidence the bloke has been shit all season, but he won't be drop because he's our star captain who won b-ham player of the year last year.

When we brought him i was very happy and thought this is the kinda player that we need but i was sadly mistaken. I hope we sell him in the summmer but first he needs to be dropped and the captains armband taken off him and stuck in the reserves. He always mouthing off in the paper about how we need to start doing does and that but we never do.

Just drop him ffs ollie.
