Shit_arse Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 Found this on the BBC website Surely has to be incorrect Not lookign that attractive for the new manager is it ? No funds for incoming Foxes boss Leicester City chief executive Paul Aldridge says the club's new manager will not be able to add to his squad. The Foxes were relegated to League One last season and Aldridge says Ian Holloway's replacement will not have funds to freshen things up. "There certainly won't be any players coming in, that's for sure," Aldridge told BBC Radio Leicester. "As for players going out, clearly we would have to consider any offer that was made and respond accordingly." Aldridge added: "But we haven't got anything to consider at the moment so it's not something we have to worry about."
teblin Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 I have heard Milan say he will back the manager!, this can't be right if they want to get promoted.
The People's Hero Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 Milan said funds would be available for the new manager. Whatever they are going to tell us, whether its true or not, the pair of them should really get their story straight.

Daggers Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 I am ****ing livid about this. Where does this stand with Mandaric's promise (pre sT deadline) to do everything possible to get promoted. ****ing cnuts. Mark Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 Well timed, this pair in charge of our club worries me greatly.
Ric Flair Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 This story is rubbish, as if Mandaric will go a summer without his club making wholesale changes. Aldridge is massively mistaken.
Bert Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 I am fuming. Aldridge is a class A ****. So what happens if we have a mass exodus of our better players? We have some great youngsters here yes, but one's that aren't ready due to not being played regularly. All i can think of really, is that the majority of players are going to stay.
MC Prussian Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 So we have a club owner and a (albeit high-profile) club employee. Their opinions are diametral. Anyone seeing any issues with that?
Master Fox Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 Could be a sly plot to try and make sure we don't get ripped off by other clubs on trying to get the players we want?
Benjani Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 Well if everyone stays I wouldn't mind that at all. The current squad was meant to be good enough to at least get a top half finish in the Championship. It's this bit that worries me. "As for players going out, clearly we would have to consider any offer that was made and respond accordingly."
Babylon Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 I would think he means, without players going out there is no way any will come in.
Daggers Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 This smacks of the start of a firesale. They may as well ban me from the ground now...because if they don't invest in the areas we need to develop then I'll be calling for both of them to leave at every ****ing game I go to. Cunts. But just remember what Mad Mandy said last week. 03:55 "What is special about that date?" [15th June] "Well, because, we'd like to give him at least 15 days to look at what he's got here and, err, look at additional players he might need and some of our plays might, you know, not be here in the season." Mendacious fuck.
Benjani Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 And surely loans and free transfers are still allowed. We only have 1 left back, it's impossible no one will be joining.
C-man Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 MM said on SSN last week that he will back the new manager with funds to get out of this division. PA is a clown. Fuck off you ugly cunt
Hitesh Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 Just read this on BBC - Thats poor that the incoming manager can't add to the squad! How can we re-build? How can the new manager put his own style in place? We need to change some of the playing staff because the attitude of some of the players isnt right at all (Howard, Clemence et all)! However, it could be a case that the incoming manager won't have funds but will be able to spend the money that they free up/make from the sale/release of players. I think maybe thats what Aldridge is trying to say. But I guess we wont know until a new man comes in.
Babylon Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 PA is a clown. What does that make MM. I think people should chill, players will come in and players will leave.

MikeyT Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 Yep, its a load of poo. As a few other posters said, Milan said he will be backing the new manager!
James. Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 Found this on the BBC website Surely has to be incorrect Not lookign that attractive for the new manager is it ? I can't think of a more appropriate username for the starter of this thread. This news really is shit arse. Even if PA has got it wrong what the f**k are the mixed messages all about? They are meant to work together. Closely. Yet again we look like a f**king joke. This club is a farce. PA looks like he's fitting in nicely.
Manwell Pablo Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 While I have no doubt that we will sign some players in the summer, I don't think we'll sign many.
Raj Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 Taking into account some of the muppets we've bought lately i cant say im that bothered about not signing any more wan kers.
mancunianfox Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 If Mandaric keeps our better players here then he will be backing the manager with funds as our wage bill we be massive for a league one club. Backing the manager doesn't just mean bringing players in! I don't think it would be a bad thing if we don't make wholesale changes tbh so I am kind of re-assured by Aldridge's comments. We have already brought too many players in over the last three years and the squad we have is good enough to get out of league one if we can bring in a manager who can organise a football team. At the moment organisation is key to any potential success that we might have.
