Joe. Posted 8 July 2008 Posted 8 July 2008 I'll also admit I've never heard of him therefore never seen him play but he must have some sort of pedigree for Blackburn to sign him in the first place.
brookfox Posted 8 July 2008 Posted 8 July 2008 He's just not Tunchev - not good enough! He's got more caps than Tunchev. But probably scores less on a scrabble board. In fact we could play League 1's only (I guess) full International defence of Berner Tunchev Kisnorbo N'Gotty!
Tilley Posted 8 July 2008 Posted 8 July 2008 Yes but we've lost 3 and bought 2... We currently only have one left back and he's 17.... and it may only be a trial as I have already said. I'm aware of these, & maybe Pearson is looking to build one deparment at a time, but personally, I would like to see our striker position sorted.
RowlattsFox Posted 8 July 2008 Posted 8 July 2008 People can't judge him based on how many times he played for Blackburn, that was in the Premier League and he was behind one of the most consistent left backs in the prem last season in Stephen Warnock. Could well be a decent player at this level.
lildave3 Posted 8 July 2008 Posted 8 July 2008 Surely good enough for this league. Not that i've seen him play a full game like.
Unabomber Posted 8 July 2008 Posted 8 July 2008 Would be a steady signing nothing special, but nothing special is really needed, like Clive Clarke was doing a good enough job in the championship before his accident, so hopefully he would be fine.
teblin Posted 8 July 2008 Posted 8 July 2008 I'm aware of these, & maybe Pearson is looking to build one deparment at a time, but personally, I would like to see our striker position sorted. He's signed 2 defenders and 2 midfielder so far. The squad as it is has lots of midfielders quite alot of stikers(good or not) And very thin on defenders so it makes sense.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 8 July 2008 Posted 8 July 2008 Would take him. Not spectacular, not great. Definately a top six L1 player though. Could probably cut it in the Championship.
Halfsy Posted 8 July 2008 Posted 8 July 2008 Do we need another left-back?Decent player, could do well at this level. Clapham-ish. Only downside is that he'll turn 31 soon. Clapham-ish? I'm praying we don't sign him already. . .
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 8 July 2008 Posted 8 July 2008 Clapham-ish?I'm praying we don't sign him already. . . He's much better than Clapham. Can use both feet.
Tevez Posted 8 July 2008 Posted 8 July 2008 Here Here, might be a good signing but this guy is lazy as fook and will be on big money. Fact.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 Here Here, might be a good signing but this guy is lazy as fook and will be on big money. Fact. That'd be my one worry as well. Would rather sign a defender in a similar vein to those who we've gone after brecently.
sham Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 That'd be my one worry as well. Would rather sign a defender in a similar vein to those who we've gone after brecently. Agree with you but with the signings NP has made thus far, we can trust him within the transfer market surely? A trial, with a view to a permanent contract, be it for a year or even two sounds justified
teblin Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 I'd have thought that ability wise he would be more than good enough for league 1. the problem that may occur is if he has an attitude problem. 30 nearly 31 its not majorly old has 2 or 3 years left in him, we need some experience to go with the young players we have, as feel most of the "experienced" players we have will be gone.
Ric Flair Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 Has Henchoz got himself a club yet? He posts on here doesn't he?
MikeyT Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 Has Henchoz got himself a club yet? He's 33 now! Plus isnt he a CB as well! We dont really need anymore of those do we?
SussexFox Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 Agree with you but with the signings NP has made thus far, we can trust him within the transfer market surely? well fingers crossed only time will tell!
MC Prussian Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 He's 33 now! Plus isnt he a CB as well! We dont really need anymore of those do we? I heard Patrick Muller (ex-Lyon) is still looking for a new club... It's true.
billyfox1 Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 http://www.leicester.vitalfootball.co.uk/a...le.asp?a=115105 2 games in one and a half years?? has he been injured
Daggers Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 I'm aware of these, & maybe Pearson is looking to build one deparment at a time, but personally, I would like to see our striker position sorted. World of Barry Hayles & The Sappletizer. Sorted.
