Tragic and sad. Maybe shame due family culture had something to do with it.

I don't really agree that she deserves to be in this topic TBH.

This however:

Two killed in late-night crash near crossroads - Leicestershire Live

I know certain facts about this incident which IMO makes it applicable to this topic.

The sentence seems quite lenient considering what he did and the consequences thereof.

Life sentence, minimum 20 years before being considered for release by parole is quite a harsh sentence although I don't really want to see him released. How do you rehabilitate such a malignant sociopath? He was clearly completely addicted to this sadistic behaviour.

I just feel sad that there are apparently at least 3500 victims. Then you've got the knock on impact on relatives etc.

Cases like that makes you think 'why not bring back the death penalty'..

... because the moment the system executes an innocent person (and given that the justice system is not infallible, that outcome is a mathematical certainty), everyone becomes complicit in the death of innocent people as collateral damage to maintain that system.

Wonder what his mitigation was..

Utilitarianism for me. For every 1000 odd cold blooded scumbags like this who die, 1 or 2 innocents who die as part of the collateral damage that overall makes the world a better place for the majority is fine. Much like we accept a few deaths on the motorway now and then so we can all get to places quicker.

It's utterly grotesque.

The subculture that people like Andrew Tate have facilitated has a lot to answer for.

Could someone explain this guy, please?

Been just rape-accused, or is there more to it?..

Nah, can't get there on the cost being justified for the cause it's being spent on. Not in this particular case. I don't think trading lives is necessary when a different way to neutralise the problem those scumbags pose through removing them from society for life exists.

Words fail me.

Found his friend dead, nicked her bank cards, took her dog away as her corpse was showing signs of it possibly being hungry (to put it nicely), emptied her account but left her there for a few days knowing and until her benefits were being paid into her account so he could nick that too.

WTF?

Seems like an argument that went too far, but I don't think the victim behaved too well either.  Not sure the incident warrants inclusion in this thread tbh.

...Unless you're the one who got punched. @Wymsey:ph34r:

Barely warrants inclusion in the Merc, let alone this thread.

If you're going to be a racist and say racist things then you deserve far more than a single punch to the face.

Shouldn't have even been prosecuted. I'd have preferred it if Police and CPS decided it wasn't in the public interest.

Shame the guy had to pay fifty quid to his victim but please he got a con dis.
