Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 Basically was talking to a few friends the other day, we got bored, the conversation inevitably moved onto football. The we started talking about what player is the inspiration for your style when you play. Javier Zanetti is mine. Absolutely brilliant right back, everything about the way he plays is perfect, and he's been in the Inter set up for so long, a real testament to his quality. Anyone?
Ashley Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 Gerrard for me Edit: Even tho i'm a left winger/foward.
Finnegan Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 I don't really play 11s frequently enough to have much of an inspiration. Usually I'm limited to what I'm capable of, which is running and shooting. I suppose I like to take up the Koumas role in fives and sixes, spreading the ball about and pushing up behind whoever's up front.
Lovejoy Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 If playing centre back then Ferdinand, because my best attribute are pace and strength, but if playing my other position as the right of three forwards then Messi because like him I'm a leftie who plays on the right. And is quick. End of similarities . EDIT: What a strange combinations of positions .
dandannieldanok Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 Ali Dia - Bullshits way into a team pretending to be good.
AmericanScott Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 Aaron Maclean! My face will scare the shite out of you.
Libertine Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 I usually play left wingback kinda thingeh. Not particularly modelled on anyone. Though if I'm playing with loads of players who are as shit as me, I like to take control of the game and play the Gerrard role.
Koke Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 Kamil Zayatte - Coming out of nowhere but turns out to be a half decent footballer after all.
shen Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 Dennis Rommedahl - Drifting in and out of game, extremely incosistent, technically poor, but many bursts of pace
Sparky Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 Steve Walsh From the age of 10 - 15 i was a king in the air at centre half but everybody got tall other than me although still win more headers than i lose . Always wore number 5 too . Throw in 2 fairly recent seasons up front resulting in 49 goals and theres a bit of similarity
Nugent Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 As a centre back, it's got to be Ferdinand or Vidic.
Durnerz Posted 28 October 2008 Posted 28 October 2008 Michael Ricketts - Go through decent scoring runs once in a blue moon.
