Fox in a Box Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 would have snapped there hands off for a draw to be honest, 30,000 + 7 from 9 pts dont worry lads.
DB11 Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 Pearson AGAIN shows how inept he is at making the right substitutions at the right time. I know he;'s a new manager but I'd rather he made his mistakes elsewhere tbh. I'm not saying I want him gone... I'm just saying I want him to make the right bloody substitutions!!!!!
Thracian Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 Bas tards. Not really. We got exactly what we deserved for being so negative from the moment we scored. It's the sort of thing Southampton did last season against both us and anyone decent. We could have continued taking the game to Leeds. We could have used someone like Gradel to drive at Sheehan rather than Dickov who's done what so far since he's been here? We just donated two points in almost as shameful a way as we did at home to Charlton last season and it is so typical of today's footballing philosophy. Did we even have a single shot second half against a more than ordinary defence?
GLC Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 shame they had to score at the end, still top though! a point is better then losing all 3
Fox in a Box Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 1pt away at leeds is not a bad return, they are 16pts behind us so thats looking promising.
Libertine Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 Annoying to concede at the end, obviously. Perfectly happy with a draw though, especially with Leeds just getting a new manager.
Aberdeen_fox Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 Thought it was a stick on defeat with them having Grayson in charge for first time but would of taken a point before hand but I sat there just knowing we'd concede late on. Is this a psychological thing now?

Fox You Forest Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 Annoying to concede at the end, obviously.Perfectly happy with a draw though, especially with Leeds just getting a new manager. I agree, Slightly gutted but still a good point.
Mickey O'Neil Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 Gutted. I'd have took a point a couple of day ago. Feel P'd off now though.. roll on Hereford.
purpleronnie Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 I would have took a draw as I said I had a bad feling about this match, but to lose 2 points in the last minute AGAIN..How many bloody times!!!!!!!
ousefox Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 A point gained rather than 2 lost in my opinion. Would have taken draw before.
purpleronnie Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 Anyone know how many points we've dropped in the last 5 minutes?
samuel Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 They deserved to lose, as Thracian said, no impetus after the goal. Still a useful point nonetheless
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 A point gained rather than 2 lost in my opinion. Would have taken draw before. Completely agree, good performance, plus we are 5 points inside Automatic Promotion safety !! We're getting there
lee7 Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 we're ****ing sh*t at defending 1-0 leads and we always have been but 1 pts better than nothing and we're still top of the league
Daggers Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 Anyone know how many points we've dropped in the last 5 minutes? Three and a half.
Corky Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 I think we'll look back at the end of the season that this was a point gained. Yes it's annoying to lose the late goal, but with all the hype and a big crowd, a point isn't bad. Leeds aren't terrible, they haven't closed in on us either.
Jonezy Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 Would have taken a point beforehand, but of course its annoying conceding late. Heads up!
Aberdeen_fox Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 A point gained rather than 2 lost in my opinion. Would have taken draw before. Agreed, would of taken a point before considering teams with new managers normally get a win plus it was away to Leeds. But I just knew we'd concede a late goal because, well we always do. Oh and Hi everyone, I've not been on here a while and hardly any League One coverage up here but won't need to worry about that next season.
MC Prussian Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 Happy and sad at the same time. Happy because we've gotten a point from a game away at Leeds (which is a massive club, obviously). Sad because we could've won (but we were unable to do so because we've done it before). Down to 2nd in the table. Now bring on Hereford (and give them a thrashing)!!!
Daggers Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 ... they haven't closed in on us either. No, but Franchise did.
