He was trying to point something out to you but as per normal you're too arrogant to take it on board.

Question: Do you actually think you're NOT arrogant?! :crylaugh:

Arrogance is not sticking to your opinion, arrogance is taking the piss like Babylon and you do

We don't take the piss we question why you are so set in your views and so unwilling to take on board the fact that others are also entitled to an opinion.

Arrogance is not sticking to your opinion. WHAT?????

Arrogance is sticking to an opinion when everything else points to that opinion being incorrect.

You're whole argument is based around thinking that Sven is right. As Babs would say 'assumptions, assumptions'.

In fact, how do you know it's Sven and not the Thais? Do you trust their football knowledge?

My problem is not so much the players we are trying to get, but that they will inevitably not be here for very long.

And yes that is an assumption in itself, but I'm quite confident that would be the case.

Short term signings will IMO, unsettle the squad and not make much of a positive impact.

Echoed. Spot on about short term signings unsettling the squad. Look at Curtis Davies, came here and in his first few games he was brilliant, and we all thought 'We've a great defender here', but as soon as there was a bit of interest from Prem clubs his defending was terrible, started making errors and then he left. The likes of Morrison, who was keeping the bench warm whilst Davies was starting, became unsettled and even though he eventually started with Hobbs for a couple of games and looked good, he left because he knew he wouldn't get a fair chance!

Oh yeh? So what facts and evidence have people provided today then? Hmm? Go on smart arse, find me some. Find me some fact that proves that I am wrong beyond doubt. Then I will change my opinion.

It strikes me that you are the ones that are so arrogant, that they cannot accept that I have a different opinion. Find me evidence where I have done anythign else but state my opinion, up to the point where Babylon accused me of being 'hard work', as well as saying 'assumptions, assumptions' etc, just for the sake of it. Of course I'm assuming Henry wouldn't be a good idea, just as he's assuming it would be a good one. You have to make some assumptions, because none of us know all the facts.

I'm hard work cos I stick to my opinion. You can't accept that.

Get over it.

Hallelujah, some one understands what I'm trying to say!

Christ you're hard work :giggle:

Yuk I hate the way this is all panning out. Linked with old age has been's and bringing in players who are looking for a pay check and young hungry players that worked bloody hard for us last season and got us to a better position then we are in now are being shunted out.

Its like were trying to buy our way to success rather than coach a young hungry team to success, i hate it! i really do! to see our club like this actually makes me feel a little bit sick!

I just hope waghorn comes back with confidence and has a chance to show the has been's that he is better than them. Looking unlikely now though. :(

I want to love all the hype and big name signings, i want to be excited but something about it just does not feel right about it all. I feel sorry for the Waghorn, Fryatt, Morrison et all. Its a bit harsh to be honest.

Ah well, onwards and upwards i guess.

I have to agree, I'll be slated for this but I like to see players with something to prove, because then they'll be more motivated to prove it with us. That's what Waggy showed us last season and if he wasn't feeling the pressure I'm convinced he'd have shown more in his limited opportunities this season (he hasn't been much good but in fairness he was played out of position quite a bit under Sousa).

That's the kind of hard working, unified attitude that Martin O'Neill endorsed and that's the kind of player I want to see here. Quality yes, but ambition and hard work as well.

Sven may have ambition but does Henry? Do the Thais have the same ambitions as Sven?

I cant see this happening now Gallagher has gone off injured.

I've got a nasty feeling it's probably done and dusted anyway

Proved tonight that it's a fecking huge mistake to let him go.

We need him whether its as a squad player, a Vassell stand-in, a sub or just to challenge him for the space to keep him on his toes or anything, but we certainly need him!

To let him go to the fooking lambs would be an insult to Leicester fans especially as the two teams are close in the league. I thing waggy is quality; and if its first team football he wants...then he should get it by being given a chance - not just because he cost us £3m.

£2m, but hey, that hasn't been mentioned lots of times already.

I'd rather have Yakubu, Vassell and Dyer up front.

I do agree that Waghorn should not be sent to a rival.

With Yak and Vassell both injury-prone (and Gallagher now injured too), it makes sense to keep Waghorn, especially as he's a similar type of player.

Sending him anywhere is wrong full stop for me, but to Derby of all teams would be an absolute disgrace and an insult to us.

Anyone think there was anything behind the throwing of the shirt into the crowd? Symbolic goodbye maybe?

I hope not, and I hope the Waghorn chants convinced him he's still wanted around here.

Posted

I did think there could be something to that, hope not but I just don't think Sven rates him.

He must know most of us fans love him though, I'd be gutted if he thought anything else.

Posted

The fans love him, he's not been given a proper chance this season under Sven so I don't understand why he's just been cast aside like this.

He's been asked to play on the wing for spurts of like 10-15 minutes which simply isn't enough time, let alone the fact it isn't his natural position.

Today showed us what he can do in a brief period of time up front, where he should be playing and did more than Howard in about 20 minutes or whatever it was.

fooking hope this is just us putting 2 and 2 together and getting half a mars bar. Would LOVE to see Waggy get a chance, and taking it

Literally could not agree more with all of this.

The way he has been treated is fvcking me off beyond belief, and it's one thing that has really disappointed me about Sven.

Vassell got straight into the starting line-up based on nothing. He started on the wing, which is something he IS actually accustomed to, but was by all acounts average and did nothing special.

Waggy on the other was played out wide, which is something he never has and never should do, obviously struggled, and now, because he has no confidence, is most likely being offloaded. It may only be on loan but look what happened when Sunderland did that, they said they wouldn't sell originally...

It would kill me to see Waggy bang in a few at another club only for him to be sold and replaced, he deserves so much more than that.

He gave up the chance of ever playing for his hometown club for us, and is now in the same position.

from his reaction when he threw the shirt in the crowd last night, it certainly looked like a goodbye jesture, hope not but thats the way it seemed.

I'm with Sven on that.
