ajthefox Posted 16 June 2011 Share Posted 16 June 2011 there's no way they'll hold off for 5 million outright, they're simply trying to put us off.

CKB Posted 17 June 2011 Share Posted 17 June 2011 Brizzle supposedly wanting 5 mil for a player who is out of contract next year? behave! They would get 2.5 max with possible add ons and if they turned that down and Maynard geniunely wanted to go (which he will have to as he ain't gonna further his career at Bristol City) then player power would win and he would be sold but certainly not for 5 mil

Spudulike Posted 18 June 2011 Share Posted 18 June 2011 Latest from the Bristol end..... No bid so far If Maynard has ambition then he'll force the issue. LCFC must be the best option in the absence of Premier League offers.

Cropwellfox Posted 18 June 2011 Share Posted 18 June 2011 RobTannerMerc Rob Tanner In today's Mercury, City make a move for Maynard Mockery ...So basically the Mockery's editorial is now a summary of what's been posted on FT over the last 24 hours with a couple of sentences of so called 'insight' added. Hilarious. Journalism at it's absolute best.

It's "journalists" like them giving journalism a bad name.
RizLCFC Posted 18 June 2011 Share Posted 18 June 2011 I hope we don't make a derisory offer like £1.5million, we have to be realistic and go for around £2.5-3million instead otherwise they'll just laugh it off!
Babylon Posted 18 June 2011 Share Posted 18 June 2011 Sorry don't get the Merc bashing, they say we'll be making a bid this weekend. Where was that on here? They say Nugent is considering offers, if you listen to this place he's already our player. They are there to report to a wider audience than the people on here, believe it or not, not everyone reads these boards or follows gallys mrs. I wouldn't have thought that £1.5 million is a derisory offer for a player that will be worth peanuts in January and nothing in the summer ....and missed most of last season with a serious knee injury. He's not likely to command the same sort of fee as the likes of Danny Graham or Steve Morison in the circumstances.
Callabinho Posted 18 June 2011 Share Posted 18 June 2011 If we do pull this off then he could be our best signing for many a year! I think the merc reports £3-4 million? Bristol can say what they want, If Maynard wants to listen to what we have to say they must oblige.
