Just got off the phone to a mate who works at the training ground and apparently he is having a medical there now

Somebody this morning said he had a medical this morning. He's a busy boy today.

IF this happens, I guess Masilela failed his medical. I guess it would also mean the departure of Bruno - especially if Sven finally signs Ball.

Not sure what the deal is with all these LB's. We'll have 4 if this and Ball happen.

I was perfectly happy with Bruno and Masileila myself.

Bruno wont be happy being so far down the pecking order, so I'd be expecting him to leave for first team football back in Switzerland.

Of course this is just an assumption, though Im sure there was an article posted last week with him quoted as saying he wanted to go back to Switzerland soon? :dunno:

We're not going to sign 4 left backs.

Maximum of 2 from Masilela, Konchesky, Mee and Ball. I wouldn't be surprised if it was just one and Berner was back up though.

What the hell is wrong with Konchesky, Liverpool wanted him so he is good we know he is good plus he has England caps.

You won't get a better left back which is willing to step down a division for first team football in England, Konchesky is good while Masiela hardly any of us have seen him play but we have seen reports and YOUTUBE vids and then we want him to come asap.

Routledge and Konchesky would be excellent signings, along with Danns and Mills that really shows that were moving places, plus the signings of Nugent and Kasper are hopefully good one's aswell.

Am I right in thinking Masilela could be away on ACN duty during January? Sven may want both Masilela & Konchesky. Not sure where that leave Ball or Berner though.

Yes Konchesky is a fine Left back especially for the Championship, but i think he is a contingency if Masilela does fail his medical as I believe he is the first choice option. Konchesky and Ball are being looked at Bruno does leave and as said earlier Masilela fails his medical. Not a bad second option for 2 LB's in Ball and Konchesky. Neither are fast or overly attacking, but are strong defenders.
