Haydos Posted 22 June 2011 Posted 22 June 2011 If he's not the best defender in the league he's obviously 'gash'.
JJS84 Posted 22 June 2011 Posted 22 June 2011 Nope you're right... MY opinion however is that Hobbs is good and deserved POS.. No 'love affair' going on here...I just rate the lad..but am aware of the areas on which his game needs to improve.. 'Gash' is ridiculous... Or am I being obtuse? Maybe it's just the way you stand.
Roy Cropper Posted 22 June 2011 Posted 22 June 2011 If he's not the best defender in the league he's obviously 'gash'. If he can't pass the ball 10 yards to a team mate then he's gash.
hackneyfox Posted 22 June 2011 Posted 22 June 2011 Gash was over the top but so are claims about how he's a s good as any other centre half in the division. This site is full of extreme emotions and feelings about players.

Like most championship centre backs he sits somewhere betwixt and between

Haydos Posted 22 June 2011 Posted 22 June 2011 If he can't pass the ball 10 yards to a team mate then he's gash. "Roy, meet Irony. Irony, this is Roy"
Guest Col city fan Posted 22 June 2011 Posted 22 June 2011 I could have just said I didnt think he was very good but that wouldn't have been half as much fun. Ah.. A troll? That explains it... "Roy, meet Irony. Irony, this is Roy" Magic!
Roy Cropper Posted 22 June 2011 Posted 22 June 2011 Ah.. A troll? That explains it... Magic! I'm not a troll, I just can't believe how wound up people get on here....
danlcfc4ever Posted 22 June 2011 Posted 22 June 2011 It seems this all boils down to the word GASH. Some people must really hate that word.......

Walshy5 Posted 22 June 2011 Posted 22 June 2011 Im just going to say that im absolutely gutted Hobbs is going and i bet all these idiots that are now saying he,s crap are probablly the same people that voted him player of the year last season. There was talk last pre-season about trying to fend off prem interest and even being considered a future england player and you dont go to being a bad player overnight. £800,000 is an absolute steal for Hull, possiblly bargin of the season. If he must be let go id want 1.5 million at the very very least!!

Whilst he may not be the most naturally comfortable player with the ball, he's a young player who under the right tutelage could progress to the Premier League. I still think it's a myth that modern-day centre-backs need to be as comfortable on the ball as a midfielder. Every team needs a defender whose sole purpose is to defend.

Yes we needed one last year but instead of staying to fight for his place he engineered a loan move to Hull. We're always banging on about only wanting players who want to play for Leicester, well i'm afraid that rule applies to young english talent as well as overpaid foreigners or over the hill stars looking for a paycheque. I wanted him to stay and fight and show good form, but he turned and ran to his comfort zone at Hull. Talented player but will never improve or fulfill his potential as when challenged to add different aspects of his game, he did what every overpaid spoilt twat does, got the hump and ****ed off. Bye Jack.

Fox 4 Life Posted 28 June 2011 Posted 28 June 2011 Good luck to him, was great under Pearson but simply doesn't fit in to the passing game under Sven! He always looked too shaky bringing the ball out of the box and no confidence with his passing.

Stevosevic Posted 28 June 2011 Posted 28 June 2011 Not too bothered, average Championship defender, awful last season so no wonder Sven isn't impressed. Won't be missed.
Simmo86 Posted 28 June 2011 Posted 28 June 2011 Oh well. Good luck to him, just doesn't fit in here anymore. Means we've got some centre backs on the way! SSL and Mee!
