Danny the Fox 95 Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 Wolves have just loaned Steven Mouyokolo to some French side must mean that they are getting Mills then because at the moment they only have 3 centre halfs.
acooling08 Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 How can any of you say I know nothing about football because I haven't heard of this defender? I can name at least half of the players for every Premier League team and I know Leicester City inside out.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 How can any of you say I know nothing about football because I haven't heard of this defender? I can name at least half of the players for every Premier League team and I know Leicester City inside out. Most people will probably know closer to 90%
Callabinho Posted 29 June 2011 Author Posted 29 June 2011 As much as a disappointment this is if true, we can target other players. Luke Chambers would be on my list?
The Bear Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 News is we are still playing hardball on the fee. Approx £3.75m is the last reported failed bid but Reading are still holding out for £4m. It's probably £0.5m-£1m too pricey considering he will be worth virtually nothing in 6 months time if the player so wishes, but then again they hold all the cards with other clubs like Stoke and yourself keeping a watching brief. My gut feeling is he'll end up with us when we compromise a bit more on the transfer fee. Our CEO Jez Moxey really doesn't like paying over what the club think a player is worth though so you never know we might walk away. We actually turned away Scott Dann in the summer of '09 after he fielded a phonecall for an increased wage offer from Birmingham whilst he was in the building having a medical with us. Wolves decided he wasn't worth what Blues were offering and told him to do one!
Bellend Sebastian Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 You still owe us for Akinbiyi, comrade. Let this Mills fellow come to us and we'll call it quits
Ric Flair Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 You still owe us for Akinbiyi, comrade. Let this Mills fellow come to us and we'll call it quits Or let us have Ebanks-Blake and Elokobi
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 Most people will probably know closer to 90% That's true!
The Bear Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 I still chuckle when I think of Akinbiyi and Leicester! He was awesome for us and you ruined him SEB and Elokobi will be going nowhere.
Jimbo Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 How can any of you say I know nothing about football because I haven't heard of this defender? I can name at least half of the players for every Premier League team and I know Leicester City inside out. Half the civilised world can do that due to the coverage of the premier league. Knowing football is at least knowing something about the division the team you support plays in, and if you haven't heard of one of this divisions best performers in recent seasons then you obviously take very little interest in our league campaigns
Callabinho Posted 29 June 2011 Author Posted 29 June 2011 I still chuckle when I think of Akinbiyi and Leicester! He was awesome for us and you ruined him SEB and Elokobi will be going nowhere. Haha, well he must have forgotten how to control a football, because I can remember us on his debut not knowing whether to cry or laugh.
Babylon Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 We actually turned away Scott Dann in the summer of '09 after he fielded a phonecall for an increased wage offer from Birmingham whilst he was in the building having a medical with us. Wolves decided he wasn't worth what Blues were offering and told him to do one! That turned out well for you.
Woollett's Wellies Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 I just wonder wether this 'fourth official' just trawls the local press for his info? If so then it's interesting that in the Wolverhampton Express & Star it says... Sources close to the 24-year-old Reading defender, who was last night linked with big-spending Leicester, wants to sign for Wolves manager Mick McCarthy, but will not rock the boat by asking for a transfer. Read more: http://www.expressandstar.com/sport/wolverhampton-wanderers-fc/2011/06/29/matt-mills-wants-a-move-to-wolves/#ixzz1QffK3l8w Whilst the Reading local paper says of the same meeting...... Matt Mills will not hand in a transfer request should Wolves or any other Premier League clubs fail to meet Reading’s asking price for the commanding centre-back. The 24-year-old isn’t prepared to turn his back on Royals and dig his heels in should Mick McCarthy’s men or another side not stump up the money that Madejski Stadium chiefs are holding out for. Reading boss Brian McDermott met with Mills yesterday, hoping to persuade his captain that he is better off in Berkshire for now with interest from Stoke City also hotting up. http://www.getbracknell.co.uk/sport/football/readingfc/s/2095260_mills_wont_force_a_move_out_of_reading_fc Nothing about any preferrence just that Wolves haven't offerred enough for them to agree yet. Have we actually made an offer?
I am Rod Hull Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 How can any of you say I know nothing about football because I haven't heard of this defender? I can name at least half of the players for every Premier League team and I know Leicester City inside out. Kermo was decent..

Danny the Fox 95 Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 If there were points for showing yourself up, you'd be top of the leader board, And that 'Ambitious' guy that was on here! Total nut case!
cc_star Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 This is the same fourth official who said Nugent was having a medical at Leicester. The same fourth official who said '100% he's a LCFC player'. That was 3 weeks ago. Nugent will be unveiled on July 1st
leicesterisme Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 Fourth Official do seem to know a few football players though, they speak regulary to Ant Gerrard on Twitter and also have spoke to Oliver Norburn and Jeff Schlupp in the past, they may also know alot of players who don't have twitter aswell.
Corky Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 You still owe us for Akinbiyi, comrade. Let this Mills fellow come to us and we'll call it quits They did prise Mark McGhee away. And we regretted letting him go.
Bert Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 They did prise Mark McGhee away. And we regretted letting him go. Not really. We'd never have had the O'Neill era if McGhee didn't leave.
shen Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 That turned out well for you. Wolves stayed up and Brum went down. I suppose it did
Mickey O'Neil Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 How can any of you say I know nothing about football because I haven't heard of this defender? You're not on your own. I've never heard of him either. I'm big enough to admit it.
Bezzanator89 Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 "Kermorgant was decent." <<< That could be used as a stand-up comedian's punchline.
