Callabinho Posted 30 June 2011 Author Posted 30 June 2011 In Kaspers interview he said that we went to "great lengths to get him" and the way we are going to be building the team is by "doing anything we want to get our targets." It looks like if Sven wants someone there will be a pretty good chance of us getting them. At the end of the day we have one flaw... The Championship, no offence to managers like Mick but they have nothing on Sven's acheivments. If he can offer them a great deal then as Danns said it would be daft to say no!

If he can pull this one off then that will be a real feather in his cap. And indeed ours....

ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 Told you all there's more than £10m Any more news for us Bert?
eye666 Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 To everyone saying that the price seems like a lot - Brum paid £3.5-4m for Scott Dann 2 years ago when they were in the Champ. My opinion on Mills is that the guy is one of (if not) the best defenders in this league and could be a rock for the next few years. I'm loving the ambition being shown by Sven and the owners.
ballso Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 haha, if we get this guy this will be massive (as everyone else has said). man, i'm loving being a city fan at the moment!
Tommy G Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 Don't understand the tweet? How have they rejected wolves offer and weve matched it. If its for the same value then surely they will reject our offer.
Kent Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 So have we had a bid accepted or did we match Wolves offer and also got rejected? I don't get it.
1994fox Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 I seriously would believe we deserve being favorites if we pull off this !
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 LcfcInfoMan LcfcInfoMan Well stone me. Seems I was right about #lcfc going in with a bid for Matt Mills. #unluckyhaters.
Christoph Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 I'm getting a massive hard on right now with all this speculation. I just want to jump to the first game of the season :sge:
Callabinho Posted 30 June 2011 Author Posted 30 June 2011 Don't understand the tweet? How have they rejected wolves offer and weve matched it. If its for the same value then surely they will reject our offer. We've most likely matched the bid, with add-ons to come later....
Corky Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 The way I read it was that we matched Reading's valuation and Wolves didn't, so they accepted ours and rejected Wolves. I may be wrong though.
eye666 Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 Don't understand the tweet? How have they rejected wolves offer and weve matched it. If its for the same value then surely they will reject our offer. Think it means we've matched their valuation whereas Wolves didn't want to stretch that far.
Bert Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 The way I read it was that we matched Reading's valuation and Wolves didn't, so they accepted ours and rejected Wolves. I may be wrong though. Correct.
Ashley Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 Don't understand the tweet? How have they rejected wolves offer and weve matched it. If its for the same value then surely they will reject our offer. Ours will be rejected aswell then.
Stevosevic Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 Does not that mean we matched Wolves offer and ours has also been rejected? Or should it say we matched Readings asking price?
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 Correct. Good, would love this signing so much!!
Jon the Hat Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 Correct. I am falling in love with Bert and his access to information. Go Bert!
Ric Flair Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 This just highlights that we have dough. £4 million on Mills, £3 million on CMS and the same again for Maynard if he's available that's on top of the 4-5 other players we need and what we've already bought. Sven and Top mean business. Dare we dream yet?
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 Correct. Can still see Wolves coming back with an improved offer though
