Konchesky Signs

I'm not usually good with this sort of stuff, but i can't tell if there is sarcasm in your post. lol

Deadly serious. Not long ago he did so well for a top-half prem side that he got himself a move to Liverpool.

Fair enough, he didn't cut it there, but that's a top four club and we're in the championship. Top buy.

One of my favourite all time games.

People saying he was woeful for Liverpool etc. It's Liverpool we are Leicester before last season we would of been calling this one of the singings of the decade.

Babylon - will you have my babies? I Very rarely disagree with anything you say on here very sensible poster

Exactly. I think he'll turn out to be a great signing.

Bargain.

Great player when he played for Fulham.

Solid signing.

I don't think he was ever going to be good enough for Liverpool but that's a non issue. He has years of experience in the premiership and will be a great addition for us.

Seems alot of money for a washed up Premiership reject, would have rather seen Mee or Masilia instead. First signing I've been disappointed with.

Only last year he was transferred to the value of £4m. 1 poor season struggling at a club above his ability level does not equate 'washed up'. Only recently he was very solid for a decent Fulham side.

Mee at left back is not the solution, and what do we actually know about Masilela other than You Tube clips and the positive words of 1 Maccabi Haifa fan.

The jury is of course out as with every new signing but on the face of it, it looks a solid purchase to me.

No doubt he can be good for us considering he was a solid Premier league player for a number of seasons.

But someone has to say it, wasn't he shit for Florist?

Out on loan after an appalling experience at Liverpool, not a great surprise. Give him a proper contract, a pre-season and some belief and at 30 there is no reason why we shouldn;t have the player of 12 months ago on our hands.

He was by no mean shit, just not nearly as good as everyone expected him to be.....

Paul Konchesky has slightly scary looks, though.

Perfect for a defender, mind you. Half the opposing attackers won't even dare coming near him.

Welcome to The Home of Pas'hun, Paul!!

May you be another force in our squad to be reckoned with.

How can any of you not be excited by this? What is wrong with some of you? Do you have brain maggots or something? If we would have made this signing last year, just before he went to Liverpool you would all be wank1ng into your replica scarves! Why can't some of you just let a little joy into your lives and let yourself get carried away for once! I know we might end up looking stupid and I would never be one of those fans saying "promotion is a definite" but Jesus Mary Christ of Atlanta have a little bit of optimism! The dance I'm doing at the signings we have made so far can only be described as resembling Cthulu entering the mortal plane!

Come on Paul, I love you and recognise you for what you are : A fvcking good signing!

Up the Foxes!

I truely love your posts!! :chant::crylaugh::trumpet:

And agree with all of them as well

Agree with this completely...

The one thing I would say however is that I remain a little concerned about a general lack of pace going forward.

The players we have signed are by no means immobile, but I'd love to see a real quick player in the team... someone we can give the ball to and let them scare defences by running at them, or getting in behind them. We have gifted technical players (Gallagher, King, Danns) but 'the final piece in the jigsaw' may be that injection of real pace in the team when counter-attacking. Only Lloyd Dyer is rapidly quick at the moment, and it looks live Sven wont play him much

Danns and Peltier are very quick, as is Vassell.

A lot of problems solved with that one. Now all we need is someone to back Peltier up, at Right-Back.

Matt Oakley

The guy played a Europa League Final about 14 months ago. But he's had a dodgy season at one of the bigger clubs in world football, so he's shit. Okay.

Awesome signing, one bad season doesn't make him a bad player. For example take Rooney in the first half of last season. Awful. But because he's Rooney he picked up his form and is back to his best. The difference with Konchesky is that Liverpool didn't give him the chance to hit his form again which seemed like it knocked him for six. With a pre season and knowing that he'll be the first choice left back I think he;ll be a great signing for us. If we can get in Routledge and one more striker, I think we'll be good to go! Oh and hopefully Own Hargreaves !

Heskey doesn't score 20 a season - might make them - won't score them....

Everyone deserves a chance when they put on the shirt. But My Liverpool friends are laughing at me now because he's shite! He even got dropped at forest :(
