BrummieFOX Posted 10 February 2012 Posted 10 February 2012 Good to see that Capello thinks alleged infidelity is worse than alleged racist abuse. Good old catholicism As much as I hate John Terry, he hasn't actually been found guilty of racist abuse, so Cappello actually acted in the way he best saw fit for the team (wrong or rightly).
James. Posted 10 February 2012 Posted 10 February 2012 Millionaire footballer John Terry spends lots of money therefore he is a good bloke. Seriously?
Haydos Posted 10 February 2012 Posted 10 February 2012 Millionaire footballer John Terry spends lots of money therefore he is a good bloke. Seriously? Really, straight to that? He doesn't have to take personal interest in this guy, he doesn't have to check up on his injury, he doesn't have to go see him play on his days off. I'm not saying he's a saint, just putting a different viewpoint out there. Do you believe everything you read in the papers or just the bits that bring down people that you'd give your right arm to be?

What exactly was in the papers that you're saying wasn't true? Him and his family are horrendous, it'll take more than some interview with a youth player to change my mind.

I'm not trying to change your mind, I'm not on a side, tbh I don't really care, I just think players get a harsh rap sometimes just because the media go mental with a couple of instances. No biggy, each to their own really.
AyewJoking Posted 10 February 2012 Posted 10 February 2012 Answer me this.............are you racist if you call someone a black so and so in the heat of the moment, if you know it will wind up/provoke them?
Darkon84 Posted 10 February 2012 Posted 10 February 2012 I've been called a white so and so, numerous times by people of a different ethnicity. The difference is, I didn't give a shit and cry like a baby.
Corky Posted 10 February 2012 Posted 10 February 2012 Not sure, if it's a one-off said when wound up then maybe not. If it's said again in the heat of the moment then there's obviously a greater issue because surely you'd learn from the first time.
AyewJoking Posted 10 February 2012 Posted 10 February 2012 Learn what? You want to tell the guy he's a **** but just to get under his skin, call him a black **** even though you know its "wrong" but thats the thing when it comes to insults.
shen Posted 10 February 2012 Posted 10 February 2012 Not sure anyone has made the point already, but John Terry getting stripped of the captaincy, while wheels were already set in motion (by the media anyway) to lure tax-evasion-charged Redknapp? Hypocrisy anyone?

gazfox9 Posted 10 February 2012 Posted 10 February 2012 It never fails to amaze me how well people on this board know JT to have such bad opinions of him....... Or maybe believe that everything they read about him is the gospel.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 11 February 2012 Author Posted 11 February 2012 Answer me this.............are you racist if you call someone a black so and so in the heat of the moment, if you know it will wind up/provoke them? No. No more than someone calling me a skinny **** or jobber a fat **** or large al a ginger ****
FoxyPV Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 As much as I hate John Terry, he hasn't actually been found guilty of racist abuse, so Cappello actually acted in the way he best saw fit for the team (wrong or rightly). If you read what I said, there's no mention of me stating that JT was guilty. It was striking that Capello took a stand over alledged racism and not over alledged extra-marital affairs. As has been stated in the media over the past few days, Capello probably saw the writing on the wall and wanted an excuse to leave.
21st Century Fox Posted 9 July 2012 Posted 9 July 2012 I wonder if he'll have a costume change ready if he's acquitted.
Mack Posted 9 July 2012 Posted 9 July 2012 This case is pathetic. What happened to sticks and stones? OK Terry is a **** but he is certainly no racist. Why cant the players just get in a room together alone and sort it out? Pointless Circus with a possible max £2500 fine at the end of it. Terry should have been allowed to come out and tell people that it was taken out of context and apologise to Ferdinand and anyone else if any offence was caused and that should have been that.

Terry should have been allowed to come out and tell people that it was taken out of context and apologise to Ferdinand and anyone else if any offence was caused and that should have been that. I kinda agree, it should clearly have been dealt with much faster and by the FA and not a criminal court in the same way Suarez's case was, why it is going through this is beyond me, and the maximum fine is nothing to John Terry. But regardless of whether you think Terry is a racist or not, he shouldn't be saying shit like that on a football pitch or anywhere, some crazy deluded people do admire him and look up to him. He deserves to be punished, but that punishment should have happened months ago.
purpleronnie Posted 9 July 2012 Posted 9 July 2012 I doubt its the fine he's concerned about, its the chelsea captaincy, england career and another negative which seems to blight his career....will he be remembered for his great career in football or as a womanising racist?
Guest MattP Posted 9 July 2012 Posted 9 July 2012 Complete and utter waste of Public money, pathetic.
davieG Posted 9 July 2012 Posted 9 July 2012 Judging from the reports it sounds like a childish escalation of insults and Terry reached a no go area first.
Jon the Hat Posted 9 July 2012 Posted 9 July 2012 I think Chelsea might well be keen to have an excuse to sack him.
Super_horns Posted 9 July 2012 Posted 9 July 2012 I doubt its the fine he's concerned about, its the chelsea captaincy, england career and another negative which seems to blight his career....will he be remembered for his great career in football or as a womanising racist? Very ture..the punishement will mean nothing to him but an already battered reptuation will be futher harmed. However unless Terry gets sacked by Chelsea if found gulity not really sure he'll care about that really..
The Year Of The Fox Posted 9 July 2012 Author Posted 9 July 2012 There's no way he said black. Don't let your hatred of JT cloud the truth.
