I want to see Steve Howard playing for O'Neill.

He'd be like he was in his sub appearance against Derby every game, all fired up and shit!

Where did your rumor come from?

Just from a friend (hence me being unsure as to whether or not to put it up).

As for the Morrisons link, I thought all people joining the club were sighted in there beforehand?

Ancelotti odds on Sky Bet have been cut from 25/1 to 12/1 this evening

The only odds that have consistantly shortened across all bookies today is Hughes and Lee Clarke...and a few firms on Benitez. Can get 33/1on benitex at bodog...8s 9s and 10s at skybet-william hill and stan james respectively. might be worth a couple quid

When someone is at 25/1 it doesn't take a huge punt to get their odds to halve, though. It would take a lot more wonga to get someone previously at 5/1 to go to 3/1, for instance.

I hope to god its not Benitez this will be the most boring football we could ever wittness.

No offence to you at all, my friend, but little more than a year ago, some were saying "please, God, don't let it be Dowie" and now it's "please, God, don't let it be Benitez". Interesting 12 months here, then, huh ?! Anyone else think the new manager's biggest challenge will be managing expectations ??!!

Personally I cannot see it being Ancelotti or Benitez both of them I think will be looking for premier league jobs.

read in paper today ancelotti was going to take the west ham job and so was prepared for championship

Yes that is the biggest challenge for the man coming in, but he will know that when he signs!

The main thing will be to get results they want prem football next season. nothing less

All in all we need somebody experienced in English football and experienced at this level. Anything other than that would be a major cock up on the owners' part, and put us right back in this position in a year's time tops. So that rules out your Ancelottis of this world I'd like to think.

While O'Neill might not have managed at this level for a long time he has so many other redeeming qualities that make him somewhat of an exception.

He could be at Belvoir Drive if they have met elsehwere then said to him "come check out our new training ground, we've got proper showers nowwhich is a contrast to when you were last here"
