Silly question. Did someone mention yesterday on radio leics that we only had one first team coach? That has to be worrying if true.

Anyhow; M'oneil step on up. Failing that B Davies, D Jones or sparky would do. Its a shame about sven, but its time to move on and back the lads an top. Foxes never quit !!!

I'm only one who thinks ancelotti would not be the right man for the job??? Would he be any better then Sven in this different league??

I know what you mean. I think he's a terrific manager but how much does he know about the Championship? Also, probably the only criticism you could level at him during his Chelsea career was that he wasn't a disciplinarian - I think we're in desperate need if someone who is.

I find it rather tedious that so many people who advocate the return of Martin O'Neill then follow it up by saying 'but I know it won't happen' or words to that effect.

Whether it happens or not will depend on Martin himself. Given that he is interested and he is the person or one of the persons that the Club want to interview, then Martin's decision whether to apply or decline may well depend on a private discussion with John Robertson.

I have also put forward Neil Lennon as a possibility. He was MON's first signing in March '96 and they formed a big friendship.

Lennon has not exactly enjoyed the best of life at Celtic and a team of O'Neill, Robertson and Lennon would be formidable.

Sparky Hughes come on down

I don't think Hughes is a PL-manager but Championship League may fit like a glove. And then get rid in PL...

Think its already in the bag as to who they want,

Big decision to sack Sven with no one in mind !!

If not MON (doubt it very much) but would love him back..

Then for me its Lee Clark....

But sadly I think they will go for a NAME over Talent,

Lets hope Im wrong....

I think it is because people are trying to stop themselves getting carried away with the idea of MoN's return.

The same goes for those that say he will just ruin his legacy and never be as good, the worst thing we can do is hype up the return of the Messiah, and then be disappointed when we he doesn't turn up, saying that I think that it has already got to the point where almost anyone else will just be a disappointment, look at the poll results, a team of Fergie, Mourihno and Guardiola would be a disappointment after throwing O'Neill, Robertson and Lennon out there.

Am I missing something, stocky? Why are you so sure Martin is interested or that we will approach him?

Finners, being a Welshy what would your take on Hughes be if he came here? He did the business for Wales didn't he?

I don't know whether he is interested or not. I did say 'Given that he is......' but this is not to assume that he is.

So many people seem to know that he isn't interested. If he is, he will let it be known or alternatively, he will distance himself from the speculation.

"Ole Gunnar Solksjaer"? :crylaugh:

seriously, one from Martin O'Neill, Billy Davies, Mark Hughes, Roberto Di Matteo & Lee Clark - for me in that order of preference

please not Roy Keane.....PLEASE!!

Might be a very long shot, but the Thais could go crazy and try and persuade David Beckham to be our next manager perhaps with someone like Steve maclaren with him! Just think how big we would be in Asia then!!!!

If Di Canio comes anywhere near the club I WOULD send my ST back and boycott until he left. And no, I don't think that is a knee-jerk over-reaction.

Completely agree.

The fascist cunt can fuck off so far as I'm concerned.

Dave Jones would be a sound bet, mistreated by Cardiff despite leading their fairly average squad to the play-off's. Proven in the Premiership also with Southampton and Wolves.

High profile appointments don't really seem to help our club.

Cardiff's squad included Bellamy, Bothroyd, Chopra, Burke, Whittingham and Koumas.

That's not average.

I'll be annoyed if we sign anyone who has failed to get another team out of this division. Jones, Davies, Keane etc.

I guess winning the 2009-2010 premier league title, with a team that scored over 100 goals at that level counts for nothing then...

yeh your right we can do better than that

FFs we are NOT Chelsea, and this IS the championship!! We need a manager who can get us out off this league, my opinion he would struggle!!

But they've also managed to get another team out of this division?

I'd take Davies in a shot.

Jones, Davies and Keane have all taken teams up from this division...

Wolves, Derby and Sunderland... :dunno:
