Martin O'Neil: Fans favorite, perfect for the club, experienced, attacking football, got a great CV

Billy Davies: Despite getting Derby to the premier league four seasons ago, there first year back they were just the laughing stock of the premier league, Davies tactical plan there was terrible. Went to Forest did a good job there but two seasons running Forest would fall apart on April onwards. Lost in Play Offs two season running.

Dave Jones: Like Davies same problem fall apart come April lost in both Play Off Finals two seasons running.

Roy Keane: Did a good job at Sunderland, but nowhere else. Spent quite a bit of money at Ipswich & went nowhere.

Kevin MacDonald: Since he temporarily took charge at Villa last season, his CV was slightly boosted. Two good results like beating West Ham 3-0 & Everton 1-0 what let him down was the horrible 0-6 loss. Ex Leicester player did a great job as Villa reserve manager, been there years. Problem got turned down by Forest.

Simon Grayson: Got a great CV, took both Blackpool & Leeds to the championship, Leeds narrowly missed out on the play offs last season. Ex Leicester player, would be a excellent candidate, problem he's a die hard Leeds fan.

Alan Shearer : Waste of time, no reason why he would come.

Mark Hughes: Erm, did a good job at Blackburn, spent loads of at Man City, did nothing. Did a okay job at Fulham, but left very sudden. Wouldn't be a bad appointment.

Lee Clark: Young, enthusiastic, doing a great job at Huddersfield, only problem lost two play offs two seasons running. Also Huddersfield won't let him go without a fight.

Darren Ferguson Done unbelievable job at Peterborough, however did utter rubbish at Preston. Shown he couldn't handle a bigger club, missed his Peterborough players that he built.

I can't actually think of anyone who should be favourite.

O'Neill won't want to come IMO, DI Matteo seems to fit the bill somewhat but hasn't even been mentioned by the bookies, Billy Davies, Alan Curbishley and Dave Jones don't seem the kind Top would appoint, I don't believe they are stupid enough to appoint Shearer, McLaren or Robson, Hughes doesn't really have any Championship experience either and didn't do a great job at Man City or Fulham. He may be the most likely but I'm not convinced he's on the shortlist. I'd be disappointed if it was him, he did OK at Blackburn but hardly set the world alight anywhere.

Why not give the Peregrine Falcon a go? No problem re house hunting (he lives on the roof at the 'King Power); no problem getting the players into line (he'd dive bomb the bastards and they'd all run like crazy); any real cheek would be dealt with by an insanely large bird poo drop from a great height.

Might struggle against Crystal Palace though, so probably only an outside bet

He would be way down in the pecking order.

Slaven Bilic and Paolo DiCanio as his assistant.

To add abit of Britishness i'd have Julian Dicks as a coach.

:sweating:

Would take MON but don't think he would come, and not sure he would be the right choice anyway. I wouldn't actually mind roy keane. Billy davies and di nmatteo are good choices.

Best bets will be from this list:- O'Neil, Ancelotti, Benitez, Hughes, Keane, Shearer, Di Matteo, Zola, McLaren, Curbishley, Bilic, Deschamps.

It will be someone the Thai people have heard of. Other people in the betting, like Billy Davies have got no chance.

Whoever it's going to be, we need someone that's going to be able to Motivate the players. A bad first half, and they'll have been walking in thinking, well Sven won't have a pop at us.

We need someone that's gonna absolutely bollock the players at the slightest thing they do out of hand.

Few rumours on twitter saying its between oneill and ancelotti. Would be happy with either, delighted even.

I'm only one who thinks ancelotti would not be the right man for the job??? Would he be any better then Sven in this different league??

Agreed. Sven was far too nice.

Ancelotti would definitely not be the right man for the job! Unless he managed to sign Drogba...

I guess winning the 2009-2010 premier league title, with a team that scored over 100 goals at that level counts for nothing then...

yeh your right we can do better than that

Arsene Wenger 3/1

I love how you slipped that in, and nobody has even commented on it! lol

Lee Clark for me

I would love to see what he is capable of, he definitely has something and could turn out to be fantastic.

Unfortunately, this isn't a time for a risk, so I can't see them going for him.
