Libertine Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 You joke... the thought has gone through my mind. Who better than uncle Milan I'm serious too. They'll worked together for a bit and he knows more about the game than them. (A distubing thought) Worrying.
RowlattsFox Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 I remember similar reactions when Pearson was appointed. This not knowing the league is over the top aswell. Adkins, lambert, poyet, Pearson and other managers have done ok without 'knowing the league'
BIEREDeLuxe Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 To be fair, what was Sven's recent record like at any level prior to him getting the job?
Happy Fox Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 garethjones25Gareth Jones Chairman Dean Hoyle has just told #bbcradioleeds that they have had no contact at all from Leicester City to speak to Lee Clark #htafc #lcfc Someone is not telling the truth
Saxondale Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Stringer on Twitter: StringerSport Ian Stringer I'm told from Huddersfield end, #lcfc have not approached the club to speak with Lee Clark. I understand Dave Jones has applied for the job

artursteppe Posted 28 October 2011 Author Posted 28 October 2011 When I started this thread I was suggesting if it was to be Lee Clark we might take on a Football Director to hold his hand. There is nothing to suggest that will not happen. It is a surprise the way things seem at the moment, but if we get a 'name' as Clark's mentor who could attract quality players it would all start to make sense. Anyway, I think Clark has every chance of becoming a top manager in the wake of such people as Brian Clough, Martin O'Neil and more recently Paul Lambert, who incidentally we should have taken when we had the chance a few managers ago. I have always believed Lambert would be a top manager and I think the same is quite possible with Lee Clark.

I understand Dave Jones has applied for the job Cant fault him it would be a great job for most managers dont think he will get it though, I still think its very strange how O'Neill hasn't said he doesn't want it yet!
Happy Fox Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 BertLcfcBertLcfc Ok, so a bit of a mix up. #lcfc NOT in talks with Clark! Sorry guys! I await abuse....
StarFox Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Dave Jones!!! No thanks. I don't even think he likes our club very much.
Leicesterpool Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Personally I think the mist is clearing, not long till we find, i think.

So what you really mean is who should the DOF be if we get a young manager?? ie the best man for the DOF

steveherbe Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Just seen LC coming out of the KP - which, as I'm sat in my office in Guildford is quite a feat. Still, it's as believable as some of the crap we've had posted on here this morning. FFS, is Clark in talks or not? The quality of rumour over the last 3 months (maynard etc) is as bad as Vassell on a good day, ie absolute garbage.
