Are you saying that we should legalise cocaine? I appreciate that you hate dem potheads (and dem gays) but do you really think that we should all snortle for our shits and giggles, then you sir are clearly demented.

Read the post properly, or can you not understand English? Probably not if you are a dope head.

One of my housemates smokes it regular. And I'm talking regular, two or three times a day. It's doing absolutely nothing for him. He doesn't do his work for Uni, he misses deadlines, and when he speaks to us he just slurs his words. It's like it's an addiction now. We'll invite him in to play fifa or something, but he has to smoke first.

Sounds like the guy suffers from some kind of social anxiety - I was the same way for a long time. I'd give you advice on how to help him get past it if I could but you need to know the guy's personal outlook before you can address an issue like that, there is no blanket solution.

To be fair I've judged that Samilktray is a cvnt in person and not just on the net.

Well its nice to know that taking the time out of my day to post nonsense online has bothered somebody to this extent lol

I don't take drugs, I read about them, says Ed: Labour leader says is opposed to decriminalisation as it will send wrong message to the young

  • Ed Miliband said he's never taken illegal drugs - but has read about effects
  • Is opposed to decriminalisation of drugs as it sends 'dangerous message'

Which criminal gang does he belong to? He is ok with the person dying directly every 28 hours in the 18-34 age group through alcohol. Also ok with that message. Another reason not to vote for this willy puller.

The big business monopoly argument is one that won't be known until the rules decriminalisation are put in place, if you can grow it and distribute it from home with no guidelines or specification lots of people will do it. Like anything you will have mass produced shit and then cared over quality products at a premium. Any sort of strict controls over supply will leave it open for big business to take over.

The effects of cannabis are well documented and cannot be compared to alcohol they are 2 very different substances but they both have one thing in common serious abuse will lead to serious health problems, physical and mental. There is a certain hypocrisy in our attitudes to alcohol compared to other drugs, especially when the greatest danger in drug taking is the lack of control in supply.

It's legal to brew your own beer in a vat in your living room but I don't see the alcohol industry being crippled by it.  Plus you need to take into account the British climate which necessitates investing in expensive equipment if you want to grow a healthy specimen. Growing cannabis isn't a matter of just grabbing a plant and sticking it in the ground, you need to create an artificial climate for it and imitate a day/night cycle.  Then there's the fact that THC is only produced by the female cannabis plant so you'll also want to be able to ensure that's what you're growing.  In short it's a lot more complicated and effort-intensive than a home-brew, I think the industry will be fine.

Sativex is a medicine approved by the UK government to sell cannabis oil to MS sufferers.

Unfortunately Not available to all MS sufferers yet though but the UK government should expand this and allow patients the treatment they deserve.

Sativex has a monopoly and is very expensive. If medicinal cannabis was to roll out bigger, it would make this cheaper and easier to get and I think you'd get many people living a better quality of life

I think we should ban alcohol and legalise weed

Although I +1'd it I am against banning any substance. ;)

I know it's nothing to do with cannabis, but I cannot remember if we have a general drugs thread.

It's David Nutt, who some of you may remember got sacked for repeatedly telling the last labour government that drug policy was bollocks.

Here's one of the reasons he thinks why:

So full of common sense it hurts. I just hope someone listens.

2 men die taking an illegal drug so it's the govt fault for not making it legal?

How about not taking drugs in the first place?
