Fernandes wasn't unnecessary crap, he's a good player but wasn't given a proper chance by Nige and as for St. Ledger - needed more CB's, so not unnecessary either, just the wrong player.

fernandes started the season great, i remember the first few games people were talking about how he was too good for our squad; then he just vanished...

Everyone has a price Hull, I for one would not being coming out with statements like 'We wouldn't want to do business with a club like Leicester if they were the last club on earth'

I'm not for 1 minute saying we should but we wasted £5m on Mills, go in with a similar offer, If he's worth it, I can't really comment - Like I said i'm not saying we should, I'm just saying if we did i'm sure Hull would accept.

What does Danns need to do for you to give him some praise?

Scores and sets up another more or less the 1st time he's started in his proper position and you still slate him.

You moan at people for slagging Wellens off but your treatment of Danns is just of clueless!

Praised his goal

But he was a key reason we couldn't get a foot on the ball for almost the entire 2nd half,

he can't win possession himself & if he's given possession he loses it resulting wave of attack after wave of attack

Hopefully both the start & his goal gives him the confidence to be the player he appeared to be when signed and he can be the team player we desperately need in the middle

Likewise I said 2 days ago, his energy & mobility had an influence vs Pompey as made a fist of the last 15mins, having been absolutely dire before then when Wellens was on

How can anyone comment on the performance if they've not been?

Presumably because a. their's a live stream, b. if not that then radio coverage and c. that's the whole point of this forum.

I know, comedy stuff.

Re Danns, he was key today. Palace midfielders never got enough time to work the play and while they inevitably had more possession 2nf half, the mobility of our midfield restricted them to very little.

I've not been a huge Danns fan, today he played well.

Take a peak in the live streaming thread, hit a link, watch the game. Simples

Plus today, people who listened in on the radio weren't limited to Stringer's inept rambling about an advertising board, someone's hat or a cup of coffee as the on-pitch action was described well on R5.

Great result and great management (at last) by Pearson, stupid by Howard and luckily we didnt get punished. Glad to hear that the youngsters played a major part in the TEAM victory... ;0)

Quality win. Really does show how shit a manager Sven was though. Signs 2 players for every position apparently but see no sign of Pantsil, St Ledger, Ball, Johnson, Fernandes etc when it comes to the most important time to have strength in depth.

Pearson got everything right today. Here's hoping the rest of 2012 carries on like this!

For how long exactly were you off supporting Leicester in the past half year?

Paintsil is suffering from bouts of malaria, St. Ledger wants to go, so does Fernandes, Ball hasn't played at all (and hardly ever under Sven), don't know about Johnson.

these kind of points make champions, no harm with hard graft and even a risk or two. I was sooooo god damn happy to see Danns in CM, I think it payed off!

Hopefully every game I can't get to coincides with 5 live coverage, going back to RL would be depressing...

What did he say?

In bullet point form;

  • I'm sure Adam Pearson has alot of things to say.
  • I just hope he remembers it was me and my staff who bought in many of those players whilst a reasonably successful period at the club.

certain things are self evident - i doubt any attendees will contradict opinions like kennedy had a great game, beckford is frustrating, schmiecal kept us in it, and general things like that we were tougher and more determined than in previous games. what else are we supposed to say: 'glad we won, but i'm mystified how we achieved it or who contributed'.

granted a couple of posters have been a bit specific. i hardly visit this board these days and there's still killjoys with rods up there arses, let us talk and speculate and appreciate being in the company of people who we are totally empathetic with - if you can't tolerate a bit of over excited nonsense then why bother reading the thread?

1. Not belittling anyone - it was a general question, so Alexei you can do one. But I guess you're the king on commenting when you've not been.

2. I didn't know there was a stream.
