Anyone watched The Outsider?

Seen a few clips of it and tempted to give it a go

What’s it on? I’ve read the book.

Just started The Agency on paramount (through Prime). Decent cast, Fassbender, Jeffrey Wright and Richard Gere.  Anyone else watching it?

It’s a remake of the very good the Bureau (French)

So, strictly winner... Sympathy vote or genuinely "the best"?

Whilst no doubt it's amazing what Chris has done, to say he was better than JB or Tasha really is a stretch.

I guess it comes down to whether people think "best" means best technically or best in terms of individual achievement.

I would submit that Chris has had to do far more than any other competitor just to get to where he did in terms of standard, but yes, in terms of technical and artistic merit he wasn't ahead of the others.

Understand there was a deaf lady dancing too so really maybe people just preferred him to her ?

Some probably vote based on the personality of the person too - not just their dancing .

A deaf woman (Rose Ayling-Ellis) won it a couple of years ago so obviously that's old hat now.

The secret level animated short stories on prime is outstanding.

This is the amazon TV we need. Get on the dog and bone with wizards of the coast, we've got dozens of D&D stories to animate!

Plus, might just be the best animated adaption of warhammer 40k I've ever seen in my life.

I wanted him to win. Yes, it’s a dance contest, but it’s also an entertainment show. His dancing was very good - better than you’d expect of a blind person - and he was the most entertaining. So deserved winner.

It's a public popularity vote. The dancing is largely irrelevant.

Perhaps it should be called Strictly Come?

Or is that another show entirely?

Now I have an image of Craig Revel-Horwood dressed as a gay dominatrix. :nono:

Wolf Hall= Wow

Such is Mark Rylance's acting skill that he actually made me feel sorry for Thomas Cromwell. Terribly unfair portrayal of the Duke of Norfolk though.

I think the abbey he makes reference to at the end is Launde in Leicestershire, as he was known to love the location and wanted to build a house there after the dissolution. I think his son ended up living there.

Oh he actually said it was Launde, I didn't hear it at first. Oops.

Would be great to have another drama about The Duke of Norfolk and his family
