I think he ruled himself out recently. Jack Lowden seems to be the name mentioned a lot at the moment, can't say I know that much about him other than he's scottish and was in Dunkirk which I did see him and was okay.

I've been rewatching Band of Brothers (for the 20th time) over the last week or so, easily the greatest TV miniseries ever produced in my opinion. They captured only a fraction of the horror I'd imagine existed there, and yet the actors and directors captured that fraction so well, this show really sends me into a different place inside my own head every time I watch it. I try not to romanticise it, but something about that feeling of entire nations being united to fight to save ourselves, in what is probably the clearest example of a "good vs evil" conflict we've seen, just fills me with a warmth towards those people who gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect us all. 

"Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few."

There is a documentary coming out in a few days to mark the 25th anniversary of BoB's release.

Whilst the nominees were pretty weak how in gods earth does Mrs Browns Boys continue to win awards as they did last night at the NTA’s it’s utter muck & well past it’s sell by date.

It's a public vote isn't it? There's your answer. Never underestimate the stupidity of the general public.

He was also very good in The Gold. Not a hint of his Scottish accent in that. A cockney type criminal

Surely most would recognise him from Slow Horses nowadays

Ive seen the ads for it but never watched it. I didnt know he was in it until Gary Oldman brought it up on an interview recently.

 

He was good in his role as a pilot in Dunkirk. Good luck to him if he gets the job, deffo the most life changing role ever. Got big shoes to fill.

 

I just hope they give him some good Bond material to work with.

Reacher S4 on Amazon is beyond stupid but still a fun watch.

 

Pisses me off though that Amazon make you wait a week for each episode to drop. Whay not release them all at the same time like Netflix do?
