Stig the Lawnmower Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 Hadn't had a Macdonalds burger for years. Last one I had, the bread(?) was a weird texture and floppy, not like bread at all. the burger again was a strange texture and didn't taste like any meat I know. Anyway, thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and had another one last week. Guess what, the bread was floppy and weird and the meat(?) was like nothing on earth. is it only me? how can anyone eat this sh*t? occaisionaly have a burger king or kentucky and they're not too bad, but Macdonalds!!!!!!!! They must see me coming
Webbo Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 The Big Tasties (when they are doing them) are the best burgers in the world and I love their chocolate milk shakes, not mad on the chips mind.
Jace Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 I've boycotted my local, took over 20 minutes to get my order a couple of weeks ago (no exaggeration I checked with the till receipt) could understand maybe if they were really busy but they were very quiet
21st Century Fox Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 The only time I ever eat from anywhere like that is if I'm abroad and too tired to actually execute any language skills. The last McDonalds I had was in Frankfurt last summer.
Fox92 Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 ... I don't have hamburgers from McDonald's, I have that Chicken McSandwich meal. Which is nice, apart from when they put Mayo on it! Best thing about McDonalds is the Strawberry Milkshake and Smartie McFlurry!
Uncle Phil Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 Not sure you can call them food really. This isn't the example I was looking for but http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1319562/McDonalds-Happy-Meal-bought-Sally-Davies-shows-sign-mould-6-months.html There's one where they didn't go mouldy after about 2 years.

Ha Ha! well, it's obviously not meat as we Know it! My suspicions were correct!!
Jaspa Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 The McDonald's near the clock tower always smells of nappies Haven't had MaccyDez in about a year, but two before that Its alright occasionally out of desperation, but people can get addicted to that solidified sludge
LcFc_Smiv Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 Big tasties are in incredible, everything else they do is dire!!
RonnieTodger Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 Chicken Legend with Salsa meal & a Strawberry Milkshake. It might be a bit pricier (£4.90?), but it's made being 48 stone worthwhile

Xen Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 is it only me? how can anyone eat this sh*t? occaisionaly have a burger king or kentucky and they're not too bad, but Macdonalds!!!!!!!! KFC is alright, but you can't honestly think that BK is better than McD? BK is dreadful... I've ate cardboard (dont ask) that tastes better than their crp..
sphericalfox Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 You know you are eating shite when there's nothing on the menu that requires you to have teeth to eat it.

purpleronnie Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 Never had a MacDonald's. I've never had a KFC. (Expect similiar responses)

That has proven as normal and would happen regardless of the quality of the meat. McDonald's is utter shite and I have not set foot in one for years, and there are plenty of things to slate them for, but that is not one of them.

Why's that, does the meat just dry out or something and not mould due to lack of moisture?
FoxesAreBlue Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 On my way home from the Great Mancherster Run the other day my mates talked me into having one, first time I've been for years, I went for a Big Mac - it really was tasteless and certainly didn't fill me up. I doubt I'll set foot in there again untill I'm married, had kids, ****ed it up, divorced and become a weekend McDad.
Captain... Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 Why's that, does the meat just dry out or something and not mould due to lack of moisture? It is something like that, this is very extensive and detailed experiment in how burgers rot: http://aht.seriouseats.com/archives/2010/11/the-burger-lab-revisiting-the-myth-of-the-12-year-old-burger-testing-results.html
Saxondale Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 I get annoyed with all the McHatred. I'm not referring specifically to any posts on here, more to the general feeling of disdain towards McDonalds They are a big company who have grown due to immense popularity thanks to offering tasty, relatively cheap, fast food in countless convenient locations. Get over it. It's not amazing quality (it's cheap fast food) and it's not healthy for you if eaten too regularly (it's cheap fast food). Not to mention the fact that they employ a vast number of people in this country and create thousands more jobs in the supply chain. I'm Lovin' It

I've ate cardboard (dont ask) that tastes better than their crp.. you may be right, i'm not over keen on any of them, but from my limited experience BK has been Slightly better, but there again nothing to write home about. sooner have a bag of chips. was discussing this with my daughter, and she showed me a youtube link where they're making the chicken macnuggets, you wouldn't beleive the slurry they were making them of had anything to do with chicken. If I was more computer literate i'd post it on here, i'll have a go, but don't hold your breath.
