Leicester_Numan Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 It's a little better now but the only things that are working on my phone are next match and fixtures. Everything else is still a link back to the home page. Doesn't look like it'll end up being too different to the old one
Carter The Boss Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Mine's back on the old one again but then my work computer is naff To be honest, I don't like it, but I hated the old old when we first launched that so I'm sure it will grow on me.
bluesbrothers Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Not a very nice look, but a big improvement for convenience. We've got tables, news headlines and fixtures all on the frontpage. That font is hideous though, it's fuzzy - like someone's taken a screenshot of the actual site. Sure i'll get used to it anyway.
goose2010 Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 how often do people use the official site anyway? just use FT everything is on here anyway!
dhermon Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 AWFUL UGLY If thats there best effort then god help us all they god paid good cash to come up with what kids in primary could do infact im sure they could and can and do make better sites/layouts than that
Danno Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Looks good but a few of the player profiles are missing like Kennedy's and Taft's. Also I have to click 26 for Morgan's and he's number 5
cc_star Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Looks weak, very amateurish Derby's update is similar but works a bit better thanks to their black colour scheme, our looks marginally better than a school project.
nothin2seehere Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Eugh. Terrible font (what WERE they thinking?!), almost as bad layout. Honestly preferred the old one.
ozvaldo Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 i work at a design & branding agency...we do websites....this one is shit. however, as long as we get promoted, i don't really care.
muzzy1981 Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Better content terrible font, I noticed other clubs have been overhauled, think they all use the same web template, although don't understand why Derby's is so much better http://www.dcfc.co.uk/ With a bit of tweaking it could be ok.
Jace Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Surely the Club must be pissed about this? It looks absolute shite!
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Good god, the new website looks rubbish. I've made wordpress blogs - and it resembles that, i.e. it looks like it's been designed by a talent amateur. Pretty [Lloyd] Dire!
LCFC FOX Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 All clubs are changing to this layout. Its the new official website for clubs EDIT - Birmingham's got released today, look how theres first got released...
Halfsy Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 http://www.chesterfield-fc.co.uk/ We may get a background, but it is finished with all that white and awful font. I work for Chesterfield and ours has been running about a month or so, now. I've got used to it and actually prefer it to the old site, it's much easier to navigate. The majority of the Football League clubs are using Perform group and there have been a few problems with the websites such as articles taking a while to appear and so on. There were three templates available and most clubs went for this template, with Notts County using the editorial template, which requires strong photographs with each story. Leyton Orient's is the third template, have a look and see what you think. I think LCFC's is too white at the moment, but i'm sure they'll tidy everything up shortly. All links to league tables, fixtures etc needed re-formatting, which will explain why some might not work at the moment. Give the Media lads at the club a couple of weeks to iron out the creases and it'll be fine!
21st Century Fox Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Personally I'd use the blue from the search box behind the some of the articles and headlines, to section them off, it's an absolute mess when you've got tables, stats and fixtures just floating on white space. At least they've got rid of those annoying secondary tabs advertising the FIFA 13 Preview bollocks.
kingfox Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Just got the new website, looks plain, boring and simple. Player profiles suck aswell, wtf does Jamie Vardy look like
nuttytimmy Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Yes, it is a template, hence this byline in the T&Cs: The Website is operated by FL Interactive Limited It looks overly fussy for what looks like it's supposedly a 'minimalist' layout and, yes, is far too white. We play in royal blue, thank you, Mr FL Interactive Limited. And why bother adding a greyed-out background of the stadium when a full-colour photo would look so much better. Christ, even Hull made there's look decent. There's nowt on there to read, but it looks reasonable at least! Much better off keeping up with Foxes news from an entirely independent source
MC Prussian Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 All I can add to this affair is: Manchester City's website pisses over all other sites in terms of content, navigation and design.
Wymsey Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 I just been on Stoke's (2nd favourite team) not long ago. Quite impressive.
RGFox Posted 10 August 2012 Posted 10 August 2012 Much nicer than the old "premiumtv" template with hideous advertising and hardly any content. So, have the Thai's ended the premiumtv deal? Kept that under wraps didn't they? Still not as nice and simple as the Tigers site, but it'll do....
stevelcfc Posted 10 August 2012 Posted 10 August 2012 Just got the new website, looks plain, boring and simple. Player profiles suck aswell, wtf does Jamie Vardy look like Constipated
Fox92 Posted 10 August 2012 Posted 10 August 2012 All clubs are changing to this layout. Its the new official website for clubs EDIT - Birmingham's got released today, look how theres first got released... Yeah, I think the company who design it must get contracted the the football league (or every club), because every website seems to be the same, always has done (apart from Birmingham, although changed now)?
nuttytimmy Posted 10 August 2012 Posted 10 August 2012 Much nicer than the old "premiumtv" template with hideous advertising and hardly any content. So, have the Thai's ended the premiumtv deal? No. FLi just released a new set of templates.
