We just need Ledge fit. Him and Morgan is our best centre back pairing.

Bert- does that mean Baptiste isnt coming here? ie lets get SSL back

Seems to me he just prefers ssl, don't read Into things to much!! I'm sure baptiste played left back a couple of times for Blackpool when they where in the prem could be wrong tho?

Liam hasn't really put a foot wrong at home, I don't go to as many away games as I used to, so can't really judge. With the right guidance he'll become a good defender for us. But then, there's always something to moan about.

I can't see SSL ever getting back into a regular starting spot at the City. If he does I think our promotion challenge is doomed.

Bert knows sweet FA, don't let him fool you. You can find all the information and false information you need by using google.

Give it a rest FIF. Fair enough if you don't particularly rate him but you're so over the top with your criticism of St Ledger. We're lucky because every player in our squad is decent and capable of stepping up to the plate.

Still dont get all the St.Ledger love in.

Am i right in saying that when we think of Morgan's best performances (yes, he does have them often), they came when playing with St.Ledger??

From my point of view, this is because the amount of work he had to do to bail St. Ledger out. Too often I have seen him get bullied by the bigger striker (iwelumo destroyed him at watford last year), and even outpaced by the slower ones (look at fryatt last year).

His positioning is decent, but he lacks any sort of pace (which moore has) or any sort of aerial strength (which whibread has), or even both (which morgan has).

He will always look good when paired alongside morgan, just remember how bad ledger looked before Pearson brought Morgan in, it is not a coincidence.

Put it this way - I know a lot more than you.

I too wouldn't be surprised if he's not back in for whatever reason it may be, but for me he's certainly best suited to playing with Morgan.

We've not lost with St.Ledger in the team this season IIRC.

SSL will be straight back in the side when he is again fit. In fact I can't think of a better CB partnership in the championship than Morgan and SSL.

Yet with them as the two, we managed to get as high as 1st earlier on in the season didn't we?

St Ledger hasn't put a foot wrong this season, when partnered with Wes. Didn't put in one bad performance, got voted MOTM on here against Middlesbrough away, had to cover De Laet against Blackpool, and stopped Tom Ince from scoring, which was pretty rare when we played them earlier in the season. Had Paterson in his pocket against Burnley, and played brilliantly against Hull. Yes he struggles against the more taller and physical strikers in the division, but he still wins headers against them, his distribution is very good, if he loses a header he knows how to put his body in to get the ball straight back. His heading accuracy is better than Whitbread's in my opinion, yes Whitbread of course wins more headers, but how many of these headers actually go to players, instead of out of play or go pretty wayward, Whitbread's accuracy is shocking.

His passing is good as well, doesn't like to hoof it and can pick passes out to our midfield, he has a great understanding with Morgan as well, and to me that is also a positive.

I thought you were the real thing initially too.

so sad that you need to lie in order to "gain respect" on an internet forum.

You really don't help yourself with these sort of comments.

Granted, you may have had some sort of contact within the club, but you haven't been first with any significant info for a number of years. The river seems to have dried up.

That isn't a problem. It does however become quite tedious when you start swinging your dlck about, giving vague cryptic clues on here and Twitter when the rumour mill starts churning, so as to cover yourself if something does happen. Only then to pass it off as a non-relevant tweet if the rumour doesn't materialise.

I have nothing against you but your delusion of grandeur and sucking up to the likes of John Percy and Fourth Official won't achieve much. Apart from maybe the odd recognition for first providing info you didn't actually provide first.

lol:thumbup:

Although, can we ban the phrase 'delusion of grandeur'?! The amount of times people have used that since Pearson said it, is pretty poor.

No, it needn't be a problem. But I have spent the last eighteen months or so trying to determine one single insight offered up by this supposed fountain of inside information and am yet to get lucky. Of course, there's always time to be proven wrong.

It's not that I don't wish for him, or anyone else, to be right. I'd love to know what happened to cause Gallagher to go out on loan (he said there was no issue with the manager, but something had happened that he'd prefer to keep 'in house'... and whatever it was has clearly unhappened since). The same goes for the Futacs situation, the bust-up with Danns (if there was one), the Beckford saga and so on.

Years back I knew a few chaps who professed to know this sort of information and, yes, they could tell you which players smoked, slept with other players' wives, gambled, got stoned, there was even one very plausible story about a player being gay... but where it all fell apart was when it came to transfers. That's clearly the hardest information to come by and yet, oddly, it's the least important because we all find out within a week or two anyway.

But if anyone can tell me what happened with Gallagher or which players smoke twenty a day or whether Phil Gee really did get friendly with an ex-boss's wife then that would still suffice.

Sean St Ledger really isn't all that, as others have said he cannot handle any kind of physicality at all. Decent back up defender, nothing more.

Their manager knows nothing about it but rumours saying talks are underway.

I've heard that the negotiations are being handled by Sooty and Sweep, thus it is taking time due to the fact only Corbett can understand them.

I did hear at one point negotiations got a little heated and a custard pie and magic wand were involved, though i could have dreamt it all.

No! Best phrase ever.
