Not because I don't think he would be capable but rather for the following reasons: a) I would much rather we renewed the loan of Keane instead. Then with Whitbread and St.Ledger to come back we are covered in the centre back department. b) If we got to the Premiership, he would imo be surplus to requirements, i.e. not good enough. Good enough for the Championship but not the Prem.

We might need to sign another defender rather than hoping they will return sharpish and slot straight back in since we have half a season still to play.
