Bluetintedspecs Posted 18 February 2013 Share Posted 18 February 2013 I'm having £20 on him to score and £20 on Charlton to win. If we are as bad as some of our fans make out, I might as well profit from it Another Gregos Traitorelli
fleckneymike Posted 18 February 2013 Share Posted 18 February 2013 Does anyone have a link to his bbc leicester interview, I cant find it any where? Or can somebody quote what was said? http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0142jgh Speaks quite well about it. Points out we didn't go for it first leg which made second leg tricky. Bob Weasel Fox Posted 18 February 2013 Share Posted 18 February 2013 4th minute, 22nd minute and he will score from the penalty spot in the 78th minute with a chip shot after City had got it back to 2-2. Charlton to win 3-

Basingstoke Fox Posted 18 February 2013 Share Posted 18 February 2013 It won't be, 'over and long gone' til we've got promoted whenever that day will be. It's him I hold responsible that night for ruining our best chance in years. I don't buy this 'it's his favoured method of penalty taking' either nor, 'Waghorn missed as well' You do NOT take a penalty like that in that kind of game with that much riding on it. I'd question and find it hard to forgive ANY player who decides to do that in that scenario nevermind one who had contributed F*** all upto that point in the season. Even the commentator said as much. (I'll put the link up in a sec) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kaypAs9zw8 Yes Waghorn missed but had Kermorgant not did what he did and had scored there's nothing to say Waggy under less pressure wouldn't have buried his. Furthermore, at least Waggy's effort was 1. Hit hard and 2. Not straight down the keepers throat. Also Waghorn actually contributed to our season upto that point. That French tosser turned up thinking he was 'it' and would try and make a name for himself. I really don't know how people can try and defend Being quite soft hearted I will feel sorry for him when the boos keep on coming, but then I'll remember back to that night, the drive home, the days after, and the pain of every other time I've thought about that night since and I will be hoping the cnut suffers the whole 90mins tomorrow. I hope Big Wes clatters the **** out of him and a cheer erupts every time he does so. 'I can tell you now in a situation like this that is not required. That is such a woeful penalty.' I felt so nervous and emotional watching that video. Which is stupid because we obviously knew what happened. From feeling so low, to complete elation, to despair within a couple of hours. It was such a tense game, a whole seasons worth of effort and determination and it all came down to that game. I, like probably every Leicester fan was devastated at that moment. Having listened to his interview on the football forum, I'm not sure that I can forgive him but I do understand his point of view. It really was gutting. He's still a pr**k for shushing our fans in August though.

Alf Bentley Posted 19 February 2013 Share Posted 19 February 2013 I wonder if NP will be tempted to bring in Whitbread (if fit) as Kermo is very strong in the area - and not the only one for Charlton? I hereby predict that Kermo will NOT score...but Michael Morrison will (movement and aggressive run at a corner, something we don't seem to understand). However, 2-1 LCFC: Morrison 0-1 (59 mins), Knockaert wonderstrike 1-1 (74 mins), Nuge scrambled close range goal (90 mins) 2-1 (he'll feel he owes us after that last performance)...Charlton do seem to like conceding late goals. The win that sets us back on track....

It was a rollercoaster ride of a game- probably the best I've ever been to in fairness. I was a pity the game clashed with the UEFA Cup FInal with Fulham else there would've been a lot more viewers. It was such a shame the whole thing ended by a moment of utter stupidity. As for the interview, I've never listened to it and don't want to. I don't want to hear him try and justify himself. I'm not sure what the consensus on here is about us, 'not going for it' in the first leg- I thought we did. We had 7 mins of stoppage time, their keeper made some quality saves from ours corners, we came incredibly close to scoring numerous times I thought? Manwell Pablo Posted 19 February 2013 Share Posted 19 February 2013 They're the risks you run when chipping a penalty. Eradicate some of those risks by belting it. Noone will ever get blamed for having a right good punt at it. I don't think waggys was that bad, though it was a decent height for the keeper Not true at all. If it ends up in row Z you'll have football fans left right and centre screaming the first rule of any penalty is to get it on target. Chipped penaltys actually have a very good success rate, and if Kermit had got anything like the required height on it he'd of scored as Marshall goes low early.
