davieG Posted 17 April 2013 Posted 17 April 2013 Admittedly I'm not a big celebrity fan anyway but there's some 'famous' ones I just don't get or see the appeal. Davina McCall Claudia Winkleman Patsy Kensit Most controversially i guess David Bowie There's plenty more but they're the first ones that spring to mind.
Captain... Posted 17 April 2013 Posted 17 April 2013 I think it would be a shorter list to make of all the ones I do get. Even the most talented singers and actors don't deserve to be regarded in such high esteem as they currently are, talent becomes irrelevant in the cult of celebrity where exposure is everything. But lets start with anyone who is on TOWIE or any of the bastard offsprings.
foxfanazer Posted 17 April 2013 Posted 17 April 2013 James Corden Great shout. Bugs the hell out of me and he's on everything!Russell brand Davina McCall Dermot Oleary
Charl91 Posted 17 April 2013 Posted 17 April 2013 Keith Lemon, Russell Brand and James Corden are the ones that sprung to my mind. Along with Alan Carr and Louie Spence.
glenny_fox Posted 17 April 2013 Posted 17 April 2013 Louie Spence Keith Lemon Davina McCall Jonathan Woss Adrien Chiles Any 'celebrity' that has come from TOWIE, made in chelsea, Geordie Shore or any other crap reality show
whitlock Posted 17 April 2013 Posted 17 April 2013 Average age of people that have replied in this thread must be 45.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 17 April 2013 Posted 17 April 2013 James Corden I thought he was the worst person ever at the point he seemed to be on EVERYTHING, but having seen him in Telstar and shamefully gotten into Gavin and Stacey (that he co-wrote) retrospectively, even he has redeeming features, it would seem.I KNOW that Russell Howard has done some work for charity, but in terms of his act, that's one that amazes me that his programmes get commissioned. The real mystery for me though is how Zane Lowe, who seemingly has the charisma of a Tesco self service checkout, ever got a job that involved his voice being transmitted over the airwaves
Drew_The_Fox Posted 17 April 2013 Posted 17 April 2013 Katie Price Peter Andre Kerry Catona Paris Hilton The collective casts of TOWIE, Made in Chelsea and Geordie Shore. All absolutely pointless. Total waste of skin.
kingfox Posted 17 April 2013 Posted 17 April 2013 Anything on ITV2, apart from Celebrity Juice, which I find funny.

My tip - like I know about celebrity and being famous - is never to present a f***ing awards ceremony. I'm guessing they pay well, because why anyone would want to be involved in such a tedious, poorly scripted, self congratulatory wankfest (which they always are, whichever one it is) is way beyond my understanding
foxfanazer Posted 17 April 2013 Posted 17 April 2013 Nick Grimshaw Just one of those that has to make people aware of all his celebrity friends
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 17 April 2013 Posted 17 April 2013 Admittedly I'm not a big celebrity fan anyway but there's some 'famous' ones I just don't get or see the appeal. Davina McCall Claudia Winkleman YES!! Never understood Davina McCall's appeal... she looks like a parrot and shouts all the time. Claudia Winkleman tries too hard to be scatty like many college students who think they're more popular than they actually are. The type of nob'ead who tries to cram the word "random" in every sentence I'll also second James Corden. It's alright to be fat and egotistical if you're funny, but you need the "funny" - most important part of being a comedian. That stupid bint off the Oxo and Isme adverts, I'm guessing she's on Loose Women and talks about how women do everything and men are all pigs and gets a big round of applause at every such mention. Almost anyone associated with ITV's light entertainment (excluding Harry Hill, who should have his own channel). Anyone off any reality show that just follows spoilt idiots around. TOWIE and whatever they're called I have to agree with Keith Lemon. A rubbish character, I can't believe this is the same guy behind Bo' Selecta Russell Howard, the 5-year-old impression was almost funny the first time but making it the main part of the act is taking the piss a bit. And U2 and Morrissey.

Did you see the cringeworthy exchange between Corden and Patrick Stewart at the award show, horrendous.
kingfox Posted 17 April 2013 Posted 17 April 2013 Nick Grimshaw Just one of those that has to make people aware of all his celebrity friends Good shout, very very annoying.
Darkon84 Posted 17 April 2013 Posted 17 April 2013 Nick 'Grimmy' Grimshaw and his dumb **** hair, James Cordon (god his voice just makes me sick, I can imagine his chubby face wobbling around like a young, self righteous Harold Bishop), Colin Murray (was probably the worst offender a couple of years ago where he was literally on EVERY channel, doing something shit, even darts on Channel 5 I think, urgh), and Alex Jane gets a mention aswell, simply for being the love child of Russell Brand and a bottle of hairspray.
Alf Bentley Posted 17 April 2013 Posted 17 April 2013 Admittedly I'm not a big celebrity fan anyway but there's some 'famous' ones I just don't get or see the appeal. Davina McCall Claudia Winkleman Patsy Kensit Most controversially i guess David Bowie There's plenty more but they're the first ones that spring to mind. I'm sorry, I'm obviously in a minority here and I'm deeply ashamed of myself, but I find Davina McCall very sexually provocative. She's a raunchy, brazen hussy, which may be part of her appeal....or maybe I'm just a dirty old man. As for Bowie, I'm not familiar with his recent stuff (must get a listen to the new album, though) but he produced a staggering range and quality of material in the 1970s. Even at 11-12 years of age, "Sorrow" touched a part of me that little else reached, while "Heroes/Helden" (the Anglo-German versions of "Heroes") probably remains my favourite single track of all time by anyone...
RonnieTodger Posted 17 April 2013 Posted 17 April 2013 Miranda Hart - It's bad enough when people are unfunny, but when they're ridiculously popular it's even worse. Hate her with a passion.

Babylon Posted 17 April 2013 Posted 17 April 2013 Anyone who is classed as a celeb without having any discernible talent to get themselves such a position. Oh and Russell Kane, quite possibly the worst comedian in the world... ever.
