Kitchandro Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 Do the Black Eyed Peas even still exist or are they taking the piss?
Webbo Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 He could have retired a year earlier if hadn't been for that extra time at Old trafford.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 Made me pause and thank the fact he isn't not our manager. c'mon u have to love the Svennis
ScouseFox Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 Luis Suarez â€@Luis16saurez9h A legend of English football will retire at the end of the season. Thanks for all the memories JAMIE CARRAGHER.
The Blur Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 According to BBC Sport-Moyes is set to be appointed tomorrow. Interesting choice especially that he fell out with Rooney at Everton and that Rooney complained about his man-management skills and poor training methods.

Rooney's a has been, I don't think he'd be a huge loss.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 Been announced on Man U's official website that he's retiring at the end of the season. Thoughts? I don't dislike the bloke nor Man Utd. He has been their manager longer than I have been alive. I wonder how many managers we've had since then? The last of a dying breed, I know there are a couple of other long serving managers but none will pass 26.5 years in charge of the same club. My life has literally known nothing other than Fergie being in charge of them. It'll be incredibly strange for him to not be there anymore. His single mindedness in winning and his ability to off load players who we assume are in their prime or have their best years ahead of them, at the time seem odd, but his decision usually is correct in the long term. Whoever they bring in there will be a change of dominance from next season IMO. I certainly wouldn't be putting money on them to win the league next time round.
Jimothy Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 OptaJoeVerified accountâ€@OptaJoe 0 - The only British team Manchester United have faced under Sir Alex Ferguson but never beaten are Southend United. Bogey.
21st Century Fox Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 I wonder if they'll present him with a new watch as a retirement gift, the one he currently uses always seems to be a few minutes slow.
iamafox Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 There's a special Football Focus programme on BBC One at 22:35 called Fergie Time. Should be worth watching if you're interested.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 Absolutely detest Man U and SAF has irritated the shit out of me from the day I started watching football - purely because he is so good and successful. Like others, he has been in charge of United longer than I have graced the good earth. I think it will be a sad day when he manages his final game. I think a testament to his success is the amount of people who dislike him but like myself have a huge respect for what he has achieved. Is worth saying again: The greatest football manager who ever lived.
indierich06 Posted 9 May 2013 Posted 9 May 2013 I was listening to the coverage on the radio yesterday while at work and they had an interview with a few lads outside Old Trafford, one of whom was in tears and said he'd been sent home from work because he 'couldn't cope'. COME ON LAD, GET IT TOGETHER!
Fox92 Posted 9 May 2013 Posted 9 May 2013 Apparently Moyes' first job is to keep Rooney. His transfer request was turned down by Sir Alex two weeks ago
indierich06 Posted 9 May 2013 Posted 9 May 2013 Apparently Moyes' first job is to keep Rooney. His transfer request was turned down by Sir Alex two weeks ago Isn't there a bit of bad blood between them going back to when he was transferred from Everton?
HEGGSY Posted 9 May 2013 Posted 9 May 2013 Isn't there a bit of bad blood between them going back to when he was transferred from Everton?Toffee_Fox (Everton fan and ITK) says they get along well now.
Super_horns Posted 9 May 2013 Posted 9 May 2013 Apparently Moyes' first job is to keep Rooney. His transfer request was turned down by Sir Alex two weeks ago Another one? Doesn't sound like he wants to stay then...would Moyes want to keep a player like that? I feel the reason for his success at Everton is because the squad was generally strong as a unit. Made some good signings without having much money so could do well with lots.

Can't see moyes being happy to have unrest in the squad due to one player. Really is easily replaceable imo. Toni Kroos would do a great job at united
Fox92 Posted 9 May 2013 Posted 9 May 2013 Exactly what I thought. He did hand in a transfer request the other year again. Don't get it personally, unless he wants to win more European Cups, because he plays for one of the Countries biggest clubs, one of the Worlds most well known 'brands', plays in front of 70k+ at home etc. But yeah, I agree with you. I wouldn't want a player who wanted to leave anyway, and I'm guessing Moyes wouldn't, especially considering Rooney had a lot to say about him before (regardless of their relationship now).

That's a good reason. Maybe he wants 300 grand a week.
Fox92 Posted 9 May 2013 Posted 9 May 2013 That's a good reason. Maybe he wants 300 grand a week. Very true, of course. I was trying to look at it from a footballing view (which doesn't seem the number one priority with some footballers as we all know).
Fox92 Posted 9 May 2013 Posted 9 May 2013 I saw that. Only 'big' team he has beaten away is Manchester City. He has a good record against them. (Although I do think he won at Anfield in the cup, and probably should have won last Sunday).
