Have people been watching a different Kelvin Wilson to the clumsy bastard I saw getting turned inside out every time I watched him?

Think we're going to have to be smart with the loan system this year so not a bad shout. Imagine Steve Clark has dibs though.

Agreed.

Nathaniel Ake would be top of the list for me

Josh McEachran.

Would have to be a loan I'd have thought. I'm speaking in hope rather than expectation because after his performances last year and getting a little more experience, I could see him signing permanently for a lower prem team.

But, if the opportunity arises I'd love to see it happen.

... as and when it's deemed more suitable in certain games/scenarios.

I don't think we're likely to see a striker come in as to better what we've already got we'd be spending a few million which I cannot see happening with FFP.

Bringing McEachran in on loan would give us that bit of extra quality without breaking the bank, and would give us both the flexibility to chop and change as above, as well as giving us strength in depth. King is our only creative central midfielder really. DD and James are more defensively minded and it seems NP sees Knocky more as a wide player.

What I'm trying to say is that one signing could tick a lot of boxes, and I'd love to see it happen. We'd be lucky to get him, though.

Would be lovely. Either him or Ross Barkley, but I reckon Barkley will play a big part at Everton this season.

How about Nick Powell?

Superb player but more of an attacking midfielder I thought? If we need one of them then i'd much rather we try to develop Ben Marshall in that role or Michael Cain.

Peter Whittingham on loan? Just the experienced all-round midfielder we could use.

Other (loan) CM suggestions:

- Jonathan Hogg (Watford; transfer)

- Richard Chaplow (Southampton)

- David Fox (Norwich)

- Tom Carroll (Tottenham)

- Jake Livermore (Tottenham)

CB:

- Steven Caulker (Tottenham; loan - rather unlikely, since Spurs intend to use him more and more in their first team)

- Titus Bramble

- Jason Tomkins (West Ham; loan - rather unlikely, also more and more featured in the Hammers' first team)

- Garry Monk?

Would love the ones I've highlighted. Can't see Caulker or Tomkins being avaliable though.

Absolutely no chance in hell we could get Caulker, Tomkins or Livermore! lol

I know, that's why I added the disclaimer. However, should Spurs or West Ham sign more players over the summer, it might be happening. :fc:
