luke the fox Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 I was just considering it myself and thought that I didn't want Crystal palace to go up because of Ian Holloway. However I don't want Udinese to go up (obvious reasons). In the end I concluded Crystal Palace because Watford is easier to get to and I won't revenge. Any thoughts?
Harry - LCFC Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Please Palace, please! All season Watford have engaged in cheating, exploitative behaviour that has damaged the competition and has wrongly granted them their 3rd placed finish. Never in my life have I wanted another team to lose a match as much as I want Watford to lose tomorrow.
kingfox Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Watford, because my Mum supports them. Now just imagine my house a couple of weeks ago, it wasn't nice.
Danizen Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Leaning very slightly towards Watford. It will probably be better for us if they're out of the way. There's no denying they are better than us and their owners have the means to make them even better. Also, if Palace are promoted, we'll have to endure the press corpses laughing hysterically at every bullshit, laboured metaphor the 'irreverent' Ollie makes every week. No thanks.
wight88 Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Watford but only cos their opponents are managed by the cock that actually managed to take us down to the third division trumping the likes of Taylor pleat mclintock and levein.

This, Watford are the lesser of two evils really.
Danizen Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 This topic should have been a poll. It would've been interesting to see the results.

Guesty Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Palace just for the fact Watford bent the rules and it will be interesting to see how they do next year when/if the loopholes closed.
Mark_w Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 I hate both of them. I guess I'd have to go with Watford purely because I think Palace under Holloway won't be a massive threat next year. I think right now I dislike the Watford fans and players more, but I prefer Zola to Holloway obviously.
Harry - LCFC Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 People want Watford to win? Come on guys, they've cheated! If you want them to go up you're condoning their behaviour, well actually no, you're actively encouraging it! It does upset me a little when people think it's okay to behave in the manner they have and want Palace, a team who has played by the rules, to suffer so that cheats like Watford can benefit. People often talk about how football has changed for the worse, well here you have one example of where the sport is being degraded immensely and people on here actually support it. AMF
VinceNoir Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Watford. If Palace stay down, I can't see them doing much next year whereas Watford will probably be as good if not better.
Bayfox Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Neither. Cant stand hollowhead and after the semi final hate watfords fans. And cant help think it should be me on the piss in london tomorrow.

AMF No, they haven't. Cheating is breaking the rules. The rules allow what they have done. If Leicester had done what they've done no-one would be batting an eyelid. For the record I want Palace to win, because I fancy them to win so have bet on them, so obviously want them to win.
Corky Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Don't fancy another trip to Vicarage Road next year, but their fans have been irritating as hell recently, and I'm not particularly relishing Holloway in the paper every minute of next season. Can't decide, probably Watford because Zola isn't a bad bloke.

Personally I don't accept the argument. Just because they haven't broken the rules does not mean their actions are justified. It is clearly the case that the rules have not been written correctly. There is no good reason why there should be a cap on domestic loans in the first XI but not one on foreign loans. There is no good reason why a group should not be allowed to own multiple English clubs but should be allowed to own multiple foreign clubs. An analogy that I quite enjoy is this one - Tax evasion - which happens to be quite applicable to your 2nd point. I want you to answer this question: Do you support tax evasion?
Fox92 Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Don't care... The only thing I care about is the fact that Leicester arn't playing.

To an extent yes, I don't agree with alot that tax is spent on so fair play to anyone who evades it. Just to clear things up though, what Watford done isn't cheating as you keep saying, I think the word you are looking for is immoral.(That said if Leicester did it, I doubt many would be complaining) They have not cheated.
Unabomber Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Reminds me of the Blackpool Cardiff final when I didn't want either team. Usually I do want a team to win any game I watch as it makes it more interesting but I can find no reason whatsoever why I would want either of these two to win.

Just to clear things up though, what Watford done isn't cheating as you keep saying, I think the word you are looking for is immoral. They have not cheated. Ok we'll run with that, immoral. That'll do just fine. It frustrates me that people can support actions that so clearly run counter to what is considered ethical behaviour. If we don't clamp down on it then we imply that it is acceptable for them to continue when it most definitely is not. They've unjustly damaged the competition in their favour and for that I thoroughly want them to face defeat tomorrow. After that I hope the rules are changed so their actions can be officially labelled 'cheating' just as they should be.

AMF Haven't you openly and repeatedly mentioned that (at least one of) your family are Luton fans and you've ties / allegiances with them? You'll forgive me if I take your rants about Watford "cheating" with a pinch of salt. I'm non-plussed either way, to be honest.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Palace to win, and the referee to kick Deeney's head in
Lamby Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Watford Can't stand Palarse in the Prem, although they would get hammered every week
