Premier League 2013/14 Stuff it in here!

What strike's me about that is people started to suggest Pochettino might be in trouble a while back for winning 1 in 9 or something.

It just shows you that these runs happen to most clubs. That sort of statistic gets some managers sacked.

We have yet to see the majority of Premiership managers lasting longer than just 12 to 24 months in charge on average.

Continuity is key to progress. See one particular high-flying Championship club, for example.

Their fixtures were pretty nightmarish all in one go, Chelsea twice, Arsenal twice, Man City, Everton, Tottenham. Had a great start which was never going to be maintained and are now at their natural level you would feel.

They also said Saints were in crisis just because the CEO (or was it chairman?) left...talk about OTT headlines.

Corky is right - they had a hard run and were actually unlucky in a few like at Everton and against Spurs.

How can you inspect a pitch for wind?

Gonna check it's still there and not been blow away, duh

Posted

Stoke v Swansea is having a pitch inspection at 6:20 due to the strong winds

Obviously worried the ball won't return from the sky after Shawcross hoofs.

Man City v Sunderland is off, confirmed just by talksport. So that's another game that Man City have got to squeeze in. Apparently the roads around the ground have been closed due to the stormy weather.

Yep, City game called off looks to be a blizzard,

Looking at the Brittania on SSN, the tunnel was blowing away and all the stewards were tying to hold it haha.

Looks like a couple more games could be called off yet.

They've just said the Stoke and Swansea game as been pushed back to 8pm kick off.

I know the winds are strong, but blowing back kick-offs?

Needs to be called off as Stoke playing could ruin the spectacle.

Everton v Palace is now off!

Due to building damage. Although as it's in Liverpool it's not clear if that's been caused by the wind or the locals.

By the way, Everton a top 6 team pre Moyes? Care to elaborate on that?

C'mon United!

Was a tough decision, I (Quite clearly) despise Arsenal and want United to keep losing to get rid of Moyes, but gonna edge towards United today :fc:

If Moyes is planning on a rousing speech to inspire his team, his pre match interview isn't up to much. He's so dreary, hardly pumping his team up for fighting performance.

Manchester United manager David Moyes: "Arsenal have played very well all season, they had a poor result at the weekend but they have a good team and it will be a tough game.

"All you can ever do is try and win your next game and see how it goes."

Yeah okay but how much money did he spend? plus did he win any cups in them ten years?
