The Year Of The Fox Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 How sweet was little Freddie the United mascot? Bless him
Kitchandro Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 There was always going to be a transitional period between Bale being sold and Spurs becoming a force with all the money. Having said that some of the signings don't look worth the money. Man City are great at home but Spurs made it easy for them today. yeah but they didn't lose 0-3 at home to West Ham did they! You know where i can see spurs going next! i can see them going for Kilnsmann but would he be prepared to leave the USA before the world cup! Then again i suppose he could do both? Do you still fancy putting £100 on the line for them to win the title?
Jimothy Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 Yeah Paulinho has been about the best. Lamela has had a chance in Europa, but sub appearances and stuff in the Prem, he has looked average. Soldado regardless if he needs a partner or not, has been a major disappointment, you have your top 10 worst signings of the summer debates on other websites, and at the minute, I would put Soldado in amongst the ten. I've watched him a few times, and to me he is lazy, doesn't come looking for the ball, and his movement is pretty shocking. Really surprised he hasn't been dropped yet for Defoe, Defoe is a good finisher, and moves and makes runs a lot better. Lamela has made all of 4 Premier League sub appearances, and I doubt you've been present at or watch them on all on tv. He looked lost today, but he's making his first start away at a team like Man City. Needed a start against a much poorer team at home to settle in. And why has it taken nearly 4 months for him to even start a league game and in that time he's only made 4 sub appearances? And then AVB throws him in against one of the best teams in the league away and expects him to be a world beater. Very odd management. It's not really irrelevant if Soldardo has a partner or not when it's blatantly obvious to anyone who's ever watched football that he's not a lone striker. Yes he looks lazy, but he will when he's playing a role wheres he's expected to run the channels and pop up all over the place, when in reality he's the kind of striker who operates in and around the penalty area. He isn't helped by a distinct lack of creativity behind him too. He's looked ok in spells when Erikson and Sigurdson have played in a hole behind him, but he still needs a partner, someone to create the space, run the channels and let him get in the position where he's most effective, the penalty area.
Guest shearfox Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 Rooney just scored, probably shouldn't be on the pitch still
The Year Of The Fox Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 You just absolutely knew it'd be Rooney who scores as he shouldn't be on the pitch

There's been no room for Lamela anyway, because of Townsend's form, he needs a good run in the side, but I can't see him getting it anytime soon. Soldado scored 24 goals last season, playing as a lone striker for Valencia, with Jonas being his main support, but not an actual strike partner. You would think he would make runs, be more active and clinical around the 18 yard box. Tottenham don't lack creativity in my opinion, they have many creative players in behind, Sigurdsson, Erikson in particular is a very creative player. Problem with Spurs is, when was the last time they played two up top? They have played with a lone striker for years now, whether it's Soldado, Defoe, Adebayor.
Jon the Hat Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 AVB's job will be secure this season, Levy is no fool and there was always going to be a tough season with so many changes.
Matt Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 Only a matter of time till Moyes is out imo, United cannot go on like this.
GingerrrFox Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 I ****ing hate Cardiff so would have loved a United win there.
Donut Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 I hate them both. Glad neither won. Do you like anything? Every post from you i read has some element of negativity, suggested corruption, criticism of someone or some club in some way. Why?
Kitchandro Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 Do you like anything? Every post from you i read has some element of negativity, suggested corruption, criticism of someone or some club in some way. Why? Should I like Cardiff and Man U then? Why? I said I was happy with that result, why don't you pick up on the moaners who wanted one of them to lose? Mind your own business you clueless twat.

Why to dispel a myth that you're a hate filled ****.
Finnegan Posted 25 November 2013 Posted 25 November 2013 Soldado hasn't been shit he's just had **** all service. He also doesn't need a strike partner, he scored twenty five plus goals in La Liga last term as a lone forward. 433 will suit Spurs they just need all the new boys to settle.

Guest MattP Posted 25 November 2013 Posted 25 November 2013 Same situation with any young player at a big club. At the start of the season could you guarantee he'd be playing this well and able to lead the line for the full season? It just seems like your usual Captain Hindsight armchair fanning. They've got a club to run, just the same as we can't afford to keep Schlupp up front (I know it's a different kettle of fish in terms of their ability but you get the idea). His form last season should be a clue, scores a lot of goals in an average team. Spurs spent a hell off a lot of money some very average players. Still not seen anything from AVB that makes me think he's top class.
marko Posted 25 November 2013 Posted 25 November 2013 Superb control and finish by Long. 1-0 after 3 minutes.
purpleronnie Posted 25 November 2013 Posted 25 November 2013 Terrible defending but top finish again 2-0
