21st Century Fox Posted 30 November 2013 Posted 30 November 2013 Mourinho's just embarrassing himself and trying to use this mythical genius persona many perceive him to have to try and get one over on people. This whole Mata business is an absolute joke and it's nothing but an ego massage. As for Spurs - fair argument 21CF. But does AVB not have a single say in who is even signed? I'm not a fan at all of that set-up if that's the case. You'd expect so but it didn't work like that when it was Comolli and Jol Comolli is the one who compiles the shortlist of players when Spurs want to make a signing and Levy does the recruiting. The manager’s role is to say what positions might need filling and recommend some names. So when Jol asked for an experienced, defensive midfielder “like George Boateng†he got Kevin-Prince Boateng, a young, attack-minded player he didn’t rate. When he asked for an established left-winger, he got a teenage left-back, albeit a promising one, in Gareth Bale. He wanted a battle-hardened centre-half, he got a French under21 footballer, Younes Kaboul. He asked for a fourth striker, but saw £16m lavished on Charlton Athletic’s Darren Bent, an England international who did not fit his playing philosophy. These signings were presented as Jol having “spent £40mâ€. That is as misleading as looking at Spurs’ single victory in their past 10 games and saying, because of it, Jol had to go.
Jimothy Posted 30 November 2013 Posted 30 November 2013 I think Mourinho dislikes Lukaku on a personal level, he doesn't seem particularly keen on him at all. Heard an interview with Lukaku earlier on 5live. He spoke really well, seems to know exactly what he wants, and knows his short comings and what to work on, like his weakness when he's got his back to goal. He spoke about Chelsea and it was pretty clear when it became obvious he wouldn't be getting much game time at Chelsea he told Mourinho he wanted to go to Everton. He said Everton were the best of the teams not really challenging for the title, and he felt it was the right type of team, at the right time to help his development. He said he would have got a couple of games at Chelsea and barely had chance to score, whereas at Everton he's played 8 games and scored 7 (9 and 8 now I think.) He also pointed out he hasn't spoken to anyone from Chelsea for 2 months. I think what has pissed off Mourinho is firstly he feels Lukaku has forced through the Everton move and gone against his wishes, and secondly I think he feels he spoken out of terms saying he hasn't heard from Chelsea. I found Mourinho's response odd though, something about Lukaku saying a lot but not really saying anything, like why he left for Everton. I think Lukaku made it pretty clear, he left to get game time. Mourinho has become a parody of himself, he used to be funny, it's just stupid now. And he not getting the results to back up his cockiness. He's a rich mans Holloway and he's needs to shut and start getting results, swallow his pride over Mata and admit he made a mistake over Lukaku.
21st Century Fox Posted 30 November 2013 Posted 30 November 2013 I really hope Courtois and Lukaku screw Chelsea over eventually.
AKCJ Posted 30 November 2013 Posted 30 November 2013 They've just made the point of Luciano Becchio being annoyed at his lack of chances at Norwich on MOTD. Worth a bid in Jan?
Fox92 Posted 30 November 2013 Posted 30 November 2013 Three great goals from Arsenal again. Fair play to Cardiff fans as well for clapping Ramsey.
Jimothy Posted 30 November 2013 Posted 30 November 2013 Does anyone actually know how Dikgacoi is pronounced? I've heard about 50 different attempts, the latest one tonight (Dick-osh-wee) just sounds wrong. I always thought is was Dick-a-choy.

Jimothy Posted 30 November 2013 Posted 30 November 2013 Apparently, it's Dik-sha-loi. Hmmm that seems more likely that the weird attempt tonight's MOTD commentator was making.
StanSP Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 Heard on 5 Live the other week that he spoke to Dikgacoi and he said it's pronounced 'Dik-ash-wee'
Jimothy Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 Heard on 5 Live the other week that he spoke to Dikgacoi and he said it's pronounced 'Dik-ash-wee' Fair enough. I wish they'd check these things before they start playing though. They called him Dik-a-choy when he played for Fulham, and have carried on for years, now I know him as Dik-a-choy, and it makes Dik-ash-wee sound weird even though that is correct.
purpleronnie Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 Heard on 5 Live the other week that he spoke to Dikgacoi and he said it's pronounced 'Dik-ash-wee' Probably need to see a doctor about that.
Bert Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 Let's hope this Rooney turns up for England in Brazil.
purpleronnie Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 BT get another cracker of a game. yep poor old sky.
Charl91 Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 I normally hate Rooney, and think he's overrated. But he's having a cracker of a season. Much better than the last two, where he's been overweight and generally unfit.
Soar Fox Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 Did anyone see that kid in the Hull end with a Liverpool shirt on when Gerrard scored.
Tom17LCFC Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 Huddlestone can finally cut his hair Orrrrrrrr that wasn't going in was it? haha surely an OG
Poznan34 Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 If Hull stay up at least that's 6 points next season.
