kingfox Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 Just scored against Arsenal for Urawa Red Diamonds. Cracking half volley, I would take him back at Leicester any day, very underrated.
Fox42 Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 We should've had a giant Godzilla prototype and robots serving sushi in Leicester to make him feel more at home, he would've still been here and signed a ten year contract had we done that
Happy Fox Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 He was alright but certainly didn't warrant £40,000 a week.
AKCJ Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 He wasn't that good. The fact we were paying him 40k a week was a joke.
Bluearmy 316 Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 Beat me to it quality player would have been good in a three will James and king along side him
Fox92 Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 He wasn't that good. I prefer James. Certainly not worth a stupid £40,000 a week.
EnderbyFox Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 Was it ever actually confirmed that he was on 40k a week?
The Horse's Mouth Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 Was it ever actually confirmed that he was on 40k a week? I don't think so.
Mark_w Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 I wasn't a huge fan at first but he more than won me round with some great performances, there is a part of me that wishes he was still a Leicester City player. That said he didn't deserve to earn 40k a week and if that was what we were paying him then I'm glad he's gone.
Libertine Dream Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 Was it ever actually confirmed that he was on 40k a week? No, and the truth is, it was was probably nowhere near that
EnderbyFox Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 No, and the truth is, it was was probably nowhere near that My thoughts exactly, no idea why people are using Stringers words as gospel.
Mark_w Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 My thoughts exactly, no idea why people are using Stringers words as gospel. I didn't think it was Stringer who claimed that, I thought someone had translated a Japanese article that claimed he had taken a 50% wage cut to join them and was now earning £20,000?
Kitchandro Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 He was overrated more than underrated. A lot of people loved him when he was very average. He had the odd impressive game but no more than any other player, most of the time he was more invisible than King on a bad day. Had he been a cockney, a northerner or a jock he'd have never been popular. Still, he was better than Danns.
