Strokes Posted 7 August 2013 Posted 7 August 2013 No idea It seems steep though doesn't it? I have the basic package, plus Sports, plus HD, plus broadband, plus line rental. Does that seem about right!! You are as well to ring sky and haggle, I got a fair amount added to my package by being tough with them. How long until your contract expires?
HEGGSY Posted 7 August 2013 Posted 7 August 2013 You are as well to ring sky and haggle, I got a fair amount added to my package by being tough with them. How long until your contract expires? We've done it a few times. Just tell them Virgin Media have offered you a similar package for less. They'll soon cut some off your bill
FrankieADZ Posted 7 August 2013 Posted 7 August 2013 i know people are still wondering if BT Sports/EPSN is coming to Virgin Media....the odd thing I noticed is on my HD box ESPN is still on there....with programs....just ESPN Classic & America have gone. ....or am I looking too much into it
Bobby Hundreds Posted 7 August 2013 Posted 7 August 2013 I would pay double what I pay Sky for their cricket coverage, (don't tell them that though).

FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 15 August 2013 Posted 15 August 2013 I did a web chat thing with sky an got 6 months half price for full package without sport and movies. So £13.50 and £100 M and S vouchers. In a rented house so don't have broadband or phone. Called BT to have sports added at £10 a month. They wanted £15 connection so I said **** it I will get Sky Sports instead and they dropped the charge. I did a similar thing for my old man to see how much Sky would be as he has BT Vision. Because of his area they wanted £17 a month for Broadband, when I said that's a bit steep they said you can have it free for 12 months. You literally just have to question them and they start negotiating like some Turk in a market!

There is no excuse for anyone who has had a Virgin/SKY package for at least the length of their first contract to be paying anywhere near full price for their subscriptions. Threaten to cancel and the 50-75% offers will be through the door before you've had a chance to put the phone down.
kingfox Posted 17 August 2013 Posted 17 August 2013 Steve McManaman is dreadful. "Mignolet made another mistake like that towards the end of the game" Still another half to play lad. Idiot.
Renart Posted 17 August 2013 Posted 17 August 2013 Watching the Liverpool v Stoke game on BT Sport. Didn't think that the coverage was at all bad.
AKCJ Posted 17 August 2013 Posted 17 August 2013 Michael Owen really us ****ing miserable. Thought Hargreaves did well thought. Bit of a strange decision to invite Pulis on, quite evident that he absolutely hates the media although I bet they're giving him a tidy sum.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 17 August 2013 Posted 17 August 2013 Watching the Liverpool v Stoke game on BT Sport. Didn't think that the coverage was at all bad. Crashed for me at 1/2 time and now I can't get it back. Not impressed. Only reason I went with BT as well.
ScouseFox Posted 17 August 2013 Posted 17 August 2013 It doesn't even matter what Owen Hargreaves says because nobody pays any attention to anything other than his mental voice and spends the whole time trying to work out what accent that is.
goose2010 Posted 17 August 2013 Posted 17 August 2013 Watching the game decent coverage, no idea why they have mark hallsy there really as I can't see him ever disagreeing with the ref
kingfox Posted 17 August 2013 Posted 17 August 2013 Liking Hargreaves. But McManaman is really shocking, "he was like a starfish"
21st Century Fox Posted 17 August 2013 Author Posted 17 August 2013 Yeah Owen Hargreaves seems like a nice chap but he just needs to inject a bit more personality, he seems less nervous now though.
Renart Posted 17 August 2013 Posted 17 August 2013 It doesn't even matter what Owen Hargreaves says because nobody pays any attention to anything other than his mental voice and spends the whole time trying to work out what accent that is. THIS! Ha Ha. Was doing exactly this.
Jimothy Posted 17 August 2013 Posted 17 August 2013 I've got Sky, and about midday today I was on the BT website all ready to sign up to parting with £12 a month for this, until I spotted BT want a £15 activation fee! Robbing bastards! £15 for someone pressing a button!
The Horse's Mouth Posted 17 August 2013 Posted 17 August 2013 Just realised the free deal doesn't apply to Multi room customers
Guest shearfox Posted 17 August 2013 Posted 17 August 2013 I have it because with virgin you get it free... like ESPN...
maynefox Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 the odd PL game and Bundesliga game for free, what's not to like?
Danno Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 It doesn't even matter what Owen Hargreaves says because nobody pays any attention to anything other than his mental voice and spends the whole time trying to work out what accent that is.It's German! And does Jake Humphrey get on anyone else's nerves, David James aswell. jesus
